I just beat the demo, and I gotta say...

HUGE disappointment. Its just not that great of a game from the looks of the demo. I regret pre-ordering it now, but luckily I found it for 40 dollars, so I can still make a profit on ebay.

VERY Condemned/FEAR creepy style of atmosphere. The powers are definetly very cool and its more than just a bang-bang shooter, can tell you're going to have to use your head alot more than brute force in this.

My only disappointment with the demo was that you didn't get to fight a Big Daddy at all :(

Here are some problems I found with the demo -

1. Sometimes the powers dont actually shoot when you use them, your hand just lights up and nothing comes out.
2. The graphics arent spectacular.
3. Not much variety in gameplay, only one basic type of enemy for the most part.
4. The guy on the radio was extremely hard to hear, I had to turn up my sound up to where the gunshots were rattling my head to fully understand him.
5. The hacking mini-game seems a bit out of place, and it kinda cheesy you can buy turrets out.

But I do have to give the demo props on the intro, that was cool.

I wasnt excited about this game before the demo, and I now know I am not the least bit interested after the demo. I'll wait for Halo 3 as my next shooter.

i was not going to get this game. and i am still not going to get it. the demo was good and i liked it but i don't think ill enjoy the game.

Just finished playing the demo, I really enjoyed it. I thought the graphics were very good and the plasmids are awesome, had a lot of fun electrocuting people in water and lighting people on fire. I also liked the Condemned/FEAR creepy style atmosphere, as Variation put it. I also didn't like that mini-game for hacking turrets, that was the only thing I didn't like in the demo.

I'm dling the game but I know i wont be that impressed.. I don't like FPS's like this. Chronicles Of Rid****, The Darkness.. good games but they always try to add other elements to FPS's and i never get into it. The Darkness would be sick in 3rd person..

Here are some problems I found with the demo -

Here are some great things I found in the demo:
1. Great graphics
2. Great AI - was able to get splicers to follow me into a bathroom and have the turret gun plow them down.
3. What story we did get seams to be very cool.
4. Plasmid (powers) are fun to use in combination with traditional weapons ( electrocute then shoot with pistol)
5. Hacking turrets to work for you is cool.

I was not a big fan of FEAR or Condemend (not a big horror flick guy), but this seams to gave a good mix of fun and creaply mix.

I played it again, seeing if I would have second-thoughts, and one thing that really bothered me, is that its really hard to hear people on the radio, so I turned on subtitles and I noticed those were out of sync. I mean, WAY out of sync.

The first thing I am impressed by is that the story is something new. The demo made me want to know more. Those were the best hands in a game I have ever seen. Speaking of which the graphics were great. I like it and I will go out and preorder it tomorrow.

i was actually seeing everything this is up against, halo 3, orange box, callof duty 4, assasins creed, hells highway.....and thought the lack of multiplayer doomed it at "sleeper hit" at the very best.


That said, the demo raped my life. i am totally sold on this game. beautiful graphics, combined with smart, intuitive gameplay, and presentation, presentation, presentation. From the little musical notes in the menu to the introduction of rapture (i chose IMPOSSIBLE), the presentation of this game is top notch.

I have a good sound system so i didn't have that hard a time listening to the radio, but then again, one of the speakers is right next to me.


If anything, this game deserves to be played through. (if the demo is any indication of how the game is gonna be)

I had no interest for the game until I played the demo. Some moments scared the crap out of me. I had no problem with the radio, it came in loud and clear. The game sounds great in surround sound. I will definitely rent this first and make my decision about buying it.

Graphics definately looked nice...nice fluidity with character movement, etc. This could be a really cool game for people that are into wierd psycho stuff though :D

welp, tried it and kinda liked it. the environments are definately very well done and the little touches like when you walk through falling water, your screen blurs up for a second as water runs off you.

I'm still debating on buying this game or not, with halo 3 on preorder and call of duty a definate buy, I'm really not sure i'll have enough time to play the games i really want to play.

Want to play HARD mode, but notice it's greyed out and can't be chosen?

Before starting the demo, go to your gamer profile in the dashboard and then change your default game settings. Go to general, then change your difficulty to hard.
Now when you start the demo, hard should be highlighted when you have the option to select your difficulty. Don't move the cursor or you will not be able to select hard again, unless you go back

Will see if this makes a difference, cause I found medium pretty easy (though we didn't get to fight a Big Daddy so...)

Great game. Lots of twists to it. Definitely worth a rent if not a buy for sure. Love how you
just respawn to go at it again.. Was nice to hack a couple robots and when you respawn they take care of all the killing for you then you just loot the bodies lol.. Yeah I was cheap lol.

i liked the movie feel of the game... the graphics i thought was very well made the hand powers does have a bit of a delay, however still one of this years best game so far .... if u dont over analize this game youll enjoy playing it but for 60 bucks u should of downloaded a trailer and done harder research ... i see a lot of people who dont think this is a great game i only dissagree because i was a big fan of condemned and i think, this game is a good sister game ... and if i had to choose if resident evil came out on tuesday along with this game and im down to only pick one im picking bioshock... p.s. ... u have the ability in the real game to turn the SFX'S down so u can hear the man on the radio . i saw someone having a problem with that ... just thought id help u out
