Coincedence or stroke of genious??

I just had this discussion with a friend and figured it might make a good topic.

Do you think MS intended to have simalarities with the DC?? Think about it, why not come out with something that would be instantly recognizable and comforting to a user base that just found out it's system was no more??

I'm a DC owner, and i'm not saying that i saw the contoller and my mind was made up, but i did like the comfort level when playing Sega games on the xbox.

Well, it might not have been their direct intention, but like all successful businesses, they probably did their research, saw what worked, and adapted the same principals and applied it to their product. Simple business skills.

i think since sega went out of the console businesws and are concentrating on games MS might of had help with the design of their controllers

I serious doubt XBOX was designed to specifically attract DC owners. I have an easier time believing DC was well designed and so is the XBOX.
