Pretty sad when the only thing you can get excited about is customizable armor. Just goes to show that Halo really is an overrated game.

Well, I think it's mostly his take on the Beta...I didn't play the Beta, but, from what I have seen, the end game is a lot more polished.

But, overall, I think the person writing it is some zit faced middle schooler.... I'm 31 years old and I have seen video games from their inception. We have come a loooooooong way in delivering the goods in a relatively short amount of time. So, I don't think the kid that wrote the things he did has any clue to what he is talking about.

I remember being blown away by the original Nintendo Entertainment System. That was cutting edge! But, if you look at it now, the graphics look prehistoric!

I used to think that the graphics on the Atari 2600 game "Berserk" where cutting edge and in that game, your main character's head was a pink box that floats above an "L" shaped body that shot giant bricks for lasers across the screen. The main protagonist was a guy named "Evil Otto" which was a Octagon with a smilie face that bounced up and down and chased you around killing friend and foe alike.

Then there was the game "Combat" which featured cutting edge tanks in the shape of letters "H" with stick sticking out of it that fired boxes across the screen.

As far as I care, I've seen the evolution of videogames, Halo 3 is top notch by every means of the term.

Anyways, the graphics in Halo 3 are polished but not really earth shattering. I like that they added this things that seems to be foreign to next gen titles....I believe is called color.
Polish to me is more important that prettiness, a lot people say that Halo 3 doesn't stand up to Gears, but I don't think those people ever really played Gear.
Unless I was the only person that had awesome clipping issues, and snazzy texture glitches...I loved when the locusts would look all smooth and then magically get all normal mapped 10 seconds later
