Hey,

I finally got broadband back (moved and it wasn't available for a few years, it sucked). I just hooked my 360 up and signed up for Xbox Live.

I went through the live test and everything went well. The NAT was at Moderate, but I changed some settings and now NAT is at open. Everything is working.

I have Halo 3 in and I'm trying to get in a room for the first time on Live. I mean I'm connected but yet when I go about searching for a match, it will find games and yet it wont find any possible matches. I'm not exactly sure what to think of it. Any help?

Thanks!

If your 360 passes on the network test and it can connect and sign you into Live, technically, you meet all the networking prerequisites. Why you're not connecting to a room on Halo 3 is anybody's guess from your search criteria being too narrow to just sheer bad luck.
Can you play other games on Live without a problem? The other day it would take forever to just get into a Big Team Battle.

I think XBox Live with Halo 3 has been a little buggy. Personally, I would just sign into Halo 3's matchmaking and simply wait. It should eventually get you going. And yes, you absolutely need to have your NAT wide open on your router, so, that's good.
