There's already a retail version of tetris for 360.....why have an arcade version too? Is there any thing this version has that's worth throwing up the extra $ for?

I'm thinking its the other way around...
The version of tetris that is already out is way too much money considering its a big ball of turd. At least for 800 points you're sort of getting your moneys worth.
6 player online will be the big draw to this, coupled with the price

yeah, you got a point. I picked it up because i was pretty much addicted to tetris worlds on live, and even though evolution is pretty much the same game, the way it works on live is different, especially for playing ranked matches, and i just didnt find online that fun. If anybody gets this, let me know how online play is in the arcade version, I may grab this later, being the addict that i am.

I'm a bit of a puzzle game whore... so I'm definitely going to download the demo atleast...
I'm curious what the full retail tetris for 360 is like, because if its better than the live version I may pick it up instead.

Well, its pretty much exactly like tetris worlds, if you played that one. They dropped Square tetris, made another variation of hotline, a couple variations of standard tetris (w/ different objectives for either beating the clock or getting a high score) and added Go Low (the lower your blocks are, the more points you get for the lines).

As far as online goes, there really doesnt seem to be alot of people that play, it takes longer for it to find a game than it does to actually play the match, and after each match you are forced to leave and do the matchmaking again, at least w/ ranked matches. The few times i tried doing custom games i couldnt find anybody to to that either.

Is there a demo for the arcade version? I'll prob check it out then. If it's any good, i'll prob pick it up, hit me up on live some time, maybe we can get a game going.
