I notice that the movies you can rent on xbox live that are available in Hi-Def all say 720p - My HD TV only supports 1080i HD - Will the 360 upscale these movies to 1080i like it does the games or will the hd movie rentals look distorted or downscale? Just curious- Id love to rent some hi-def movies on xbox live but my tv does not support 720p- if it will upscale them to 1080i that would be great

Honestly... Unless you have a 120 gig memory for your xbox it's not even worth downloading any movies... Especially the price o.o... Just go to blockbuster and rent movies.

Not even close to true. You can have movies on there on a regular 20gig. Delete it when your done and voila. Just like demos, why keep old crap on there?
And the price > driving all the way to a rental store + possible late fees + gas + time

So can anyone answer my original question? I am not worried about harddrive space or cost- just with a 1080i only hdtv if I will actually get hd def since they just say 720p- didnt know if it upscales the movie rentals like it does the games

Download a 720p or 1080p movie trailer or game trailer from the marketplace and see how it looks.
