Heres my first plate of the unsc insignia, with weathering on the edges.
painted with acrylics. 98% freehand (I used a template for the outer shape of the logo)

This is my second custom, of Link from the legend of zelda(as if you all didn't know who it was)

This is my third handpainted custom. Its Link(2 of 2) from the legend of zelda(complete with the stamp from his shield)
painted with acrylics. It was entirely free hand, I used a vinyl template for the logo (thanks for that, Spacey)
: This plate now belongs to spaceghost (i'm glad its not going on some 8 yr old's 360 and being mistreated)

Its so secret that even I don't know. He asked if I wanted it for a horizontal or vertical 360 and I told him to decide since I can go either way. All I know is it going to be some sort of action scene done horizontally.

Ok scratch that. I just got a PM and it is going to be vertical after all. You all will probably see the finished product at the same time as me. I am SO EXCITED! I really love the Link faceplate and I am sure I will love mine even more!

Truly wasn't copying your gears plate Space, the "Batplate" was in the works when I first saw the gears.

You don't. You get regular faceplates and sand them down, then spray them with a plastic-friendly primer so the paints don't eat the plastic.

McDonald's IS plastic.

You can use plastic friendly paints, but the colors are much more limited. If you want to expand your color choices, sealing the plate and then using standard spray paints is the thing to do. Keep in mind, I'm saying that to people without an airbrush, like myself.

I use American Traditions Plastic Primer. It's from Valspar. It goes on clear and has a clear cap on the can. I've tried Rustoleum Specialty Plastic Primer. It goes on white and I've had problems with some paints sticking to it. Besides, I do some customs with clear plates which require a clear primer to work.

I have a nice idea for what I think should be a pretty cool plate, once I get to a point where "Zelda 2 of 2" is in some sort of drying phase, I will start that.

I also want to make a halo plate, as I freaking love halo, but need it to be a cool idea....I sadly have not made one for myself yet :(

I do however have the green plate from the halo edition 360 on my xbox...I guess it will have to tide me over.

Nato doesnt do coustoms as far as i know Spacey and Flawless. I'd wait awhile on spacey though he has a backorders till '09

Yeah I don't do custom but because this is a new year and I really like what I see in the custom threads. I am going to try and do one custom if it turns out nicely I will try another and another.

I never understood the whole deal of getting banned for double posting, I accidentally did it at bungie once, when I got an error and thought my post didnt go through, so I did it again and got banned for a week....Man some mods are just jerks who like to go around banning to flex their muscle. Haven't seen that at these forums.

I've NEVER seen anyone intentionally post the same thing twice. There's no reason to. Why someone would assume it's intentional and take offensive action is beyond me. I've tried multiple times to get one post to go through because something is hung up somewhere, and then it finally goes through and voila, three posts. If there's even a second between them, the computer will say "you have to wait :30 for another post" or whatever, but when they're within nanoseconds, it'll just do all of them.
