I currently have a 52" RCA HDTV in my family room for my 360. I am looking at putting another TV in my bedroom for my second 360. The one I am looking at is the link below. Can any of you Tv tech Guru's tell me if this TV will satisfy my High Def Gaming Experience as well as a solid picture for digital cable/HD Channels?

That TV like a good choice. I'm not a guru by any means but a very respected local TV store has been advertising LG's LBX series of TV's like crazy saying they are the best out right now and LG will soon be a household name. Yea it's an advertisement and I haven't gotten a chance to check one out in person but here's a link

I say male. I can tell from the Av.

Best way is to go to the store and actually compare the picture quality of various TV's.

I bought my BenQ because it had the best picture. I thought if the signal is being split 50 ways and the picture looks this good, it will look great at home.

The top rated manufacturer right now is Panasonic for Plasma HDTVs...not sure about LCDs. Either way you go, you're going to have an amazing picture. It depends on your XBox 360's outputs...if you have HDMI, then, by all means, use that. If not, then make sure you're using Component Video and then change the settings on your console to the highest resolution that the HDTV will support. You'll be good to go.

LG, as mentioned earlier, owns the patent to Plasma technology. I saw a killer LG Plasma at Best Buy that has a built in DVR (Digital Video Recorder)...by having this, you won't have to pay a monthly fee like Tivo or DVRs from your cable company or Satellite TV company, which usually is around $5-10 per month. So, having it built in is awesome!

Anyway, I own a 55" Hitachi Plasma...love it. Phenominal picture quality - very rich color and fantastic blacks. I love it!

I've always been partial to plasma sets and have always perceived them as the "Cream de la creme" of HDTVs; however, LCD HDTVs have really improved over the years and are very close, if not even, with today's plasmas. Also, it's worth noting that today's plasma HDTVs don't have burn-in issues like the first plasmas did. LCDs have never had burn-in issues, so, you're good to go. DLP HDTVs are great, too...DLP is a Texas Instrument technology where the video is produced by millions of mirrors.

Plasma HDTVs have millions of pixels that are individually lit; therefore, arguably provide the best possible video quality.

LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) technology has come a very long way and is getting closer and closer to the brilliance, regarding video, of today's plasma sets.

DLP (Digital Light Processing) technology is patented by Texas Instruments that uses millions of mirrors to provide a brilliant high definition image.

Either way you go, you really can't go wrong. Just don't buy a tube TV for the sake of getting kicked in the butt by yours truly :D

Don't buy online without actually seeing the tv in person. Best thing to do is go to all the local stores and compare. I found the best looking tv that way, and it wasn't a brand I expected (LG) so go with that.

I like the Samsung HL-T6156W. Its a 61-inch 1080p HDTV, DLP. I should be getting it in the next couple of months. Link (http://www.samsung.com/us/consumer/detail/detail.do?group=televisions&type=televisions&subtype=dlptv&model_cd=HLT6156WX/XAA)

I don't really care for LCD's or Plama's, I don't think they have as good of a picture as DLP's.

Well guys, thanks for all the helpful tips and info. Today I made the leap, and of course with the wifey's permission, I brought home a Philips 42" LCD with 1080p native resolution.

All I can say is...........WOW! And I liked my 52" RCA HDTV, but it seems like a dinosaur now compared to this picture. I am already loving the 360 on it as well as i tried out a few things as soon as I hooked it up. Again...WOW!

Here is a link to the TV I got....

OK... Since you said you have a wife, I'm guessing you are a guy... Unless you two are lesbians which = HOT!!! Although hot lesbians only exist in the movies don't they?
