Assassin's Creed Auto-Update Failed

Does anyone know how to fix this problem? Whenever I start Assassin's Creed, it wants me to download the auto-update, but when that message pops up it signs me out of xbox live and then I can an error message that it can't download. I can't seem to figure out how to get it to work.

It's just because of LIVE. If you can't get it to eventually kick in and download, try clearning your HDD cache and retry. If still not and REALLY wanna play the game, just take out your ethernet cable and play it offline.

Damn, I get to go home to an update for AC, I wont be able to download? I hope this fix this by tomorrow afternoon.
