Arguing over half a boob and an arse. It's insane. You know titanic was given a 12's rating, THAT HAD 2 BOOBS. 2 BOOBS PEOPLE! REAL ONES! OH MY GOD.

People still aren't used to the video games as a medium for entertainment.

Man, I'm sure Ben, the horny 13 year old, has heard of FN google... Is he really going to play through for hours upon end to get his fix of virtual side boob?

Parents need to stop expecting others to do their job. Even if this game was given an ADULT ONLY rating, they'd still complain about it - because games are for kids, YEAH!?

A slightly drunken rant.

This once again goes back to an argument I strongly support. There is NO place for nudity, partial nudity, or vulgar language in video games. Just because M and AO ratings are availble does not make it right to include this stuff. The rating system should be used specifically for violence and blood levels and not have to take into account things you should only see or hear in the movies.

It's an M-rated game children shouldn't even have it...

I agree...

Complains about children playing video games that are 18+ that show partial nudity...But kids smoking malboros is just a matter of Parents teaching their kids, huh?

Jesus, its 1s and 0s.

Who cares if they see half a booby?

P.S. In the beginning of Dead Or Alive Extreme... I saw full boobies and woman ******... For like 2 secs

I agree. If a parent doesnt want a child subject to blood and violence then a child shouldnt be playing an M or T rated game. But NO ONE should be subject to vulgar language or nudity in a video game regardless of rating. There is absolutely no place for it in video games.

But it's okay in movies I suppose?

Personally, I dont care to ever hear it. And the only movies I really go see are ones I can take my kids to see like disney or other animated features. Our society has lost all touch with morals and its sad. And folks feel they need to drag this crap into video games, such as the disgusting "Grand Theft Auto" series or "Saints Row". For what? A sense of realism? Bah!

What ever happened to the good ole days of television and movies? Sitcoms were clean with light adult humor at times. They didnt have nudity or swearing yet these shows are all classics. On the movie side of things you have old movies like Casablanca, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, etc... All classics and have no need for vulgarity to be great movies. Video games fall under tha same category. The days of Mario and Sonic. Great games with no vulgarity to them. I am sure a lot of the games, tv shows and movies out today are a product of an unmoralistic society. its sad, but true.

CC you're living way to into the past, morales change with time, the population has chosen what they want to see, watch and entertain themselves with. People don't want to watch clean television, the new age of television isn't about clean television anymore. People want more realistic games in which they can do things they normally wouldn't or couldn't. Hence the grand theft auto series or saints row. It's not that the populous has no morales, it's what they enjoy and prefer to pass their time with.

I don't see a problem with vulgarity in movies games or television because you're going to hear it in life anyways it's become common so whats the point in stopping it? It also adds realism to whatever the show movie or game is about if it calls for it. Nudity, I agree somewhat, but I mean if they don't show anything then I don't see a problem... Children are going to see porn nudity or whatever sometime in their life starting from their teenage years, around middle school. It's something that is inevitable anyways, I don't mind it as long as it's not fully being shown nipples and all and whatever else >.>.

It's good that you only take your children to see those movies CC but with time, things change.

You are so correct aino, and its unfortunate. Times were simpler 20 years ago. I never once thought of using a swear word until I was an adult. never once did I even consider dropping the F-bomb like kids do today. I understand times change, but it definitely aint for the good.

I remember many nights sitting and watching TV with the family. Little House on the Prairie, Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, etc... The TV shows I remember pushing the limits at that time were Hill Street Blues and then Miami Vice. But those limits they pushed are nothing compared to that of the present.

Again, its unfortunate and even though I will and have to hear these things in the real world does not mean I should have to hear them when playng a game for my enjoyment. More than half the kids in todays society wouldnt have lasted a day 20 years ago without getting soap in the mouth or a switch to the ass. Again, just sad and unfortunate that this world has to invade video games as well.

As for morals changing....Its been predicted in the Bible, so I guess I shouldnt be so surprised or upset. Just saddened that we as humans have to conform to what others portray as cool.

Swearing is taught by parents, not games. Your kids will learn these words from other kids of ill minded parents. Again, it'll be up to you to set them straight.

People aren't so shallow as to have video games define their morals. It's a change in parenting, in family life, relationships. Again, perhaps - another example of parents these days expecting other people to do their jobs for them. Perhaps, that, may be why some morals have been tainted.

Edit: I applaud your efforts to steer your kids in the right direction. My parents did the same, and I feel I'm all the better for it. You do your job, your kids will be fine. Exposure to such things can actually benefit children depending on how they are brought up.

Thanks guys. I pride myself on making sure my kids grow up with the same values I did. I have used soap in the mouth for my son when caught lying and it definitely taught him a lesson quickly, he is 10. My daughter, 6, watches and learns everything from him and I have stressed this a lot to him.

I have seen a difference in him between Xbox Live and just being in middle school now too. He's had gaming time taken away when he seems to get a chip on his shoulder or just a general attitude that you hear so often from kids in the real world and on live. (Quite a few childish adults on live though too.)

I just wish I could raise them 20 years ago. The world seemed so much simpler even then. Its really changed over the years. This world seems to force our children into growing up much quicker than they need to. Heck, I remember running in meadows, playing in the creek, building forts in the woods, etc. at the age 15 and 16 without a care in the world. Oh well, I could go on and on...lol.

You know what pisses me off a movie like shindlers list that had tits all over the damn place.... gets a review for being one of the best movies ever...
Mass Effect .. cause its a video game... gets majorly flamed for showing some clevage ... get real im sick and tired of parents with too much time on there hands ... if you dont want your minor playing a adult game... guess what dont buy it for them... and you know what parents deny ... the fact that they buy it .. whitch i find fkkking funny.. because i know for a fact when you go to target, walmart, gamestop, gamecrazy they ask for age and if you look young and have the age they check... so parents should pay attention to what the crying 12 year old is asking them to buy. Parents should just shut up and look in the mirror no one wants to blame themselves.

I cant agree with the age verification thing. There are several places around here inclduing Walmart, Target, and Kmart that do NOT ask for ID. Granted it may be their policy in the store, but it really all depends on who you get behind the counter.

Yes, parents are ultimately responsible for what goes into their childrens minds. But as I stated, why is it necessary to even have adult rated video games? Doesnt make them any more fun for me to have swearing. And honestly i'd rather not hear it.

I am one that if someone wants to swear every other word on Live i will immediately mute them. Friend or not. I played in a few XBA rooms over the years and have muted quite a few kiddies and adults alike. A bunch of potty mouths.

I feel that games are a developers art and they should not be restricted. Why can the movie industry get away with it but games can't. I can already see this becomeing some wack job libral's presidental agenda. Please spare me. Good parents can read the label it clearly states sexual themes and brief parcial nudity. I didn't go to collage but i think that might mean if is not for ur kids to play.. Maybe if they change the rateing system to mock the movies people will get the damn hint and shut there pie holes! :cuss:

Movies are stories in which you view. You are not in control of the actions of the actors and what not telling the story. In a game, you are in control of the actions the main character takes, such as in Grand Theft Auto. The player carjacks vehicles, runs down cops, picks up hookers, etc... To me there is a major difference between acting something out and watching it. I personally would watch the Apple Dumpling Gang or Herbie movies, or any old Disney movies over half of the movies released today.

I am glad to see some movie companies finally going back to family style movies and getting away from some of the garbage they have been putting out as of late.

Yes, games are a story telling medium as well, but how can Grand Theft Auto being a good story when it promotes everything wrong with this society. Rockstar Games can rot in hell for all I care.
