I have two wireless controllers; one came brand new with the console the other I bought used. Everything was going fine with the original and ithen bought the used one. It started with the NCAA 08, when I would get hit big or make a big hit my controller would shut down once a game it then rapidly increased to at least once per play my controller would shut down. Now the same thing is happenng with gears. Any suggestions? I am on batteries and notpacks. I have tried taking them out.

It may just be the batteries, that would be my first suggestion. See if new batteries remedy the problem. If it doesn't fix the problem you can always pick up a play and charge kit, it will come with a rechargeable battery and a cable that you plug into your 360. You can try to use it with the rechargeable battery, if it still has the same problem with the rechargeable battery then there is something wrong with the controller itself. You might still be able to use the controller using the cable that you plug into the 360 system and into the controller. Hope that helps. And welcome to the site.

yah that happend to me alot and i figured out is was the batterys i was using the regular batteries but i steped up to lithium batteries they last alot longer but are expensive thats y i only buy them in 4 packs which last me a good month and a half and with the lithium batteries my controller doesnt shut down until there out of juice. also if u dont want to buy the charge and play kit just buy a pair of rechargeable AA batteries

Are lithium batteries really that good?
How much longer do they last?
I recently bought the chat pad and I'm
not sure if it's sucking up more juice.
