Kotaku ran an interesting piece this morning on cheating and XBL. A few months back Major Nelson said that there were going to be consequences if they caught and proved you were cheating and now we have found out what those consequences are. Here's a linky (http://kotaku.com/371745/hammer-comes-down-on-xbox-live-cheaters) to the story on Kotaku and the original article on Major Nelson's Blog (http://majornelson.com/archive/2008/03/25/gamerscore-correction.aspx).
Personally, I think this is great. I can't undertand why you would want to cheat to get Gamerscore anyway. But then again, maybe it's because it's just not that important to me. I'm here to play games and have fun; not to compete for a number on a profile.
So what do you guys think? Is this fair? Is it right that MS is doing this? Will it actually help anything?
Ciao
