Microsoft Xbox products that didn't fail

I have to give my props to Microsoft for these things after listing the Xbox failures, & I list the Xbox first because it was a great entry system that did many more things correct for games & gamers than it's faults. While it failed to earn $$$ for Microsoft, it got their foot in the door & paved way for it's successors.

You forgot to mention that the original black box is FAR MORE DURABLE than the xbox2...I have 2 original boxes THAT STILL WORK, almost 7 years later...OH, I had to replace that snitty RCA DVD player with a samsung about 2 years ago...but I considered that an upgrade.:cool:

The only reason I wont buy an xbox2 is because of durability issues...there is no way I feel confident spending 500 bux for precarious reliability.

I have to admit that the original Xbox was damn near bullet proof. I did all kinds of crazy hardware mods like adding fans inside the case, lights, vents and so forth.. bigger drives.. even eventually turned into a linux / Gentoo box with USB ports and it worked for a year until Hurricane Rita claimed it.

The Xbox Communicator keypad thingie. (I really like it)

Oh and Windows XP wasn't a failure. :)

wow, that was strange, when i posted this my most recent game changed from halo 3 to call of duty 4 for some reason...

ok, even weirder, my bottom gamertag thing shows halo 3 but my other 2 show call of duty 4
