I apologize if the title of this thread leads to confusion. I am not giving away a free game and i dont know how to get one, i was wondering if anyone knew why Microsoft was giving out free games.

I opened my email earlier this week and there was a letter from Microsoft saying Here is your reward and they gave me a code to unlock CATAN

i was wondering if any one else got a similar email!!

Shorten up your sig, UNV, before the mods do. Maximum height is 250 pixels. Try moving the shopping list to the right of the additions list.

No, they usually arn't in the business of giving away free games. Did you enter a contest or have an issue with support or something?

Hey Supes... Did you get it in your regular email box or in a message on your live account? Also, did the message contain a link that had you login to XBox.com or anything? If so you may have just got sharked...

I've never heard of anything legit from M$ offering free games that wasn't posted to the whole community and then discussed to hell and back by Major Nelson. So I'm guessin' it's probably not legit...

na mate it came in my regular email, that is attached to my gamer card with xbox live, and it didnt have a link just the code to down load the game... i entered the code and boom unlocked free game on XBL... so i have been playing the game, it is nothing spectacular but it is a free game and passes the time

Actually the game is pretty cool. Its still fun to play and requires a lot of strategy.
