wireless controller connectivity

I have seen other topics about this, but not quite like my issue. My wireless controller will not sync with my 360 (but will on a friend's). Normally I turn it on with the controller and every thing is okay as it was Wednesday. Today, it won't turn on. I press the sync buttons and on the 360 the ROL doesn't light up. I have unplugged everything including the hard drive, then plugged it all back in. No good. I purchased a play and charge kit to try (worked for some people) and doesn't work with me. It will let me turn on the xbox, but none of the quadrants light up.

Has anyone experienced this?

Havn't heard of that one before. Because if it was sync'd, it wouldn't let you turn on the system (or else how would it know what ssytem to turn on).

Check the xbox.com help section, if no luck, try calling them
