could be a glitch from testing that they already fixed?

I'm guessing that's a glitch. Doesn't look like pop ins, just textures missing from certain angles.

I've seen some of the latest gameplay and the first thing I noticed was there were no pop ins at all.

Not enough information here.. is this a beta test? Is this final code? When was this video taken.. and so forth.
Not trying to sound like a fanboy but the game isn't even out yet so it's hard to start cursing it.

That video is said to be from a burned copy of a bootleg game. It was a bad transfer to disc and the retail legit version does not do that. The game does have some pop in but not gameplay ending stuff if you are trying to make a call on to buy or not to buy.

I've been playing it, runs smooth - graphically impressive considering how vast it is.

There are some slight distant pop ins, nothing dramatic, but you will notice 'em.

Cheater! How do you get to play so soon?

Could be the fact that he is in Europe, which is 6 hours+ ahead of us. :D

Yep, I've been playing for 2 days and I've not noticed anything that was any where near what that clip showed. While there is some popins... it's nothing like that.

The game looks brilliant.

I've noticed it a bit with the cars, but only in multi-player while I am trying to snipe all the way down a road. But like Dozer said, it is nothing like the above.

I herd from a friend of mine that, GTA for the ps version is messing up not to bad mouth PS :D, but the rumor I herd from a good source, my cousin is that the game freezes from the start not all but some.. IDK if its a ps3 thing or a game developer thing, but there freezing..

Yeah, there has been talk of that Bats... But they're saying that it applies to both the PS3 and the 360. But only certain models of the PS3 and not all of a given model... :watchout:

This LINK (http://kotaku.com/385590/gta-iv-info-dump-reviews-problems-and-comparisons) has a fairly comprehensive list of articles (from kotaku, of course). They discuss the issues that have been had by everyone.

It's worth reading if only because it has a link to the article about the "heart" of the city.

Ciao,
Dozer

Didn't rockstar have a similar issue regarding their 'bully' game on 360?

Yeah they did. Bully: Scholarship Edition for the 360 had a lot of freezing issues in it's first week. Rockstar released a patch that cleared it all up about 5 days after the street date though.

from what i can tell its not a pop-in but a FOV issue.
