View Full Version : My 360 Died today.

I got the thing, mid June last year.
Never really had any problems with it.

Past couple days, I have been experiencing things like freezing and a popping sometimes while playing GTA4. It happened today, was about to jump in a party with Hazard. Joined the game from the dash, it loaded made a popping noise..froze.

Booted it up again, loaded the career it went to the safehouse, said game loaded and froze.

Tried one more time. Didn't even get to the dash this time.

Suppose I'll have to wait a while to finish up GTA.
Who do I call to send this thing away now?

You'll find many here who have had the same thing happen to them...

There are at least 20 posts per day about the 360 failing.

All I needed was the number..
I got the RRoD, its no big deal.
All I needed was the number, not 'facts' on other peoples xbox.

So, I called in.
No problems at all with Customer Support.
Clear, and all that jazz.

Probably will end up stealing a friends box so I can finish up gta4.

Sorry to hear about your 360 man. But glad to hear you had a pleasant experience with customer support. They seemed to have ironed that out quite a bit.

send it back to microsoft they'll give you a fresh xbox 360 and a 1 month xbox live card.. and my friend says if it happens alot then they might give you a elite but i dont believe him

Aww, Man thats sucks :( So this Not Aqua guy cant play gta or halo with the Not Yellow guy? Hope everything works out good for you! Go buy a new one if you got the cash, get yours back, return the old one with the one you got from microsoft, get it at walmart, I think they got a 30 Day Warn.

It happened a few times when I loaded up GTA as well. Just didnt think to snap pictures of it.

So, my 'coffin' came today.

I was told to write the 'case number' on the xbox as well as the box. Is that directly on the console? Or on like a piece of paper?

You're lucky. I got 4 rings and they charged me 100. I don't know what it matters they were just gonna send me a F'n refurb anyways.

I think everyone's is dying right now. Your died, and two people here at work has died this week too, WTF? They both thought they had to go buy new systems, till they remembered Xbox guy back here in Parts. Got them hooked up with MS, no prob. Coffins on the way.

UPDATE

I get my Xbox back tomorrow.
Even though some weird things were happening to the xbox (ie. the light changing from the first 3 Quadrants, to the 4th, and staying like the right before I shipped it off.) It is still under warranty.

My Elite died a little over a month ago. Customer service was good and I had a unit back in about 2 weeks.

Hang in there dude.

My first gen died a few months ago and I went through the same process. I had a refurb three days later and it's working. Not amazingly, but its working.

I hope you have the same luck. Let us know how it goes.

mine crapped out a few days ago. I just got the box from MS to ship it to the repair center. Going to ship it out tomorrow.

It lasted me 1.5 years.
