This game brought back alot of unbelievable great memories once I downloaded it on XBLA. Already knocked out all 200 achievement gamer points in a matter of moments.
Too bad just like it's original release it is not online for head to head fighting.
Atleast my skillz are polished up for SCIV coming out the end of this month. Awwww man, cant wait to see Yoda is action!! That's gonna be funny as a muva!

Soul Cailibur is my favorite CONSOLE fighting game of all time (I was a MK freak many years ago in the arcades), so I will certainly be downloading this soon. It was the best game that came out for the Dreamcast (still my favorite console ever) and anyone who even comes close to enjoying fighting games should download this ASAP.
Yeah too bad it's not online, Ninja. I'd like to see what ya got.

360 is my favorite console ever, but before it, it was Dreamcast all day, uuury day, ya dig!
My favorite fighting games of all-time go like this:
1. Soul Calibur (Sega Dreamcast)
2. Virtual Fighter 2 (Arcade/Saturn)
3. Street Figther II Special Champion Edition (Sega Genesis)
4. Virtual Fighter 5 (Xbox360)
5. Capcom Vs. Marvel (Arcade/Dreamcast)

I have only really liked 2 fighting game franchises and that is Soul Calibur (never played Soul Edge) and the MK series when it was in 2D. Of course, the MK series should have been put to death after MK 3, but yea. So I am looking forward to SC4, and they better have Vader as a downloadable character (which I have heard that they will) at some point!! Lol.
Yeah, I miss my Dreamcast man. I have so many great memories of playing Skies Of Arcadia, Grandia, Code Veronica, etc. The console had great online play (for the time) and was the first console to really do that. I played Phantasy Star Online for like 400 hrs., before Sega got greedy and started charging for it. I liked playing Quake 3 (MUCH better than the insulting PS2 version) and Unreal Tourney on there too. Hell, I even liked Seaman! And I would be a disgrace if I failed to mention that it also pioneered the best videogame football franchise (NFL 2K), before EA ruined the market by getting the NFL license. It's also the last console that ever had a GOOD Sonic game made for it. I know I am forgetting some, but yea.....most underrated console ever.
VMU's! Oh how I miss them! Lol. Ok, I'll stop now.

I assume you mean 'Soul Blade'? I never played that one. I heard it was really good though. It's funny.....the game is actually called 'Soul Edge' in Japan and when they put it out here in the U.S., Europe, and Australia the name was changed to 'Soul Blade'. Strange.
I have played Soul Calibur and the sequal, but not the third game because it never came out for the original Xbox (which was my console at the time), so I am really itching for a new SC.

DAMN! Your like my videogaming soulmate! NO HOMO! :D
I am with you 100% of everything you said, but let me nit-pick a couple things.... then again, maybe this isnt 100%, but maybe 98%!
Grandia was not that great to me. Especially compared to my all-time favorite in Skies Of Arcadia, ... *cough**..check my where im from that has been there for years **cough* .. this was one of the rare games I beat and took it right back. Stoy sucked IMO.
Seaman, ... uh.. that is really hardcore for anyone to get into, but how about me ordering an imported Shenmue II from Europe and playing all 3 disc on my US Dreamcast! The game was cancelled from a US release on Dreamcast.
I even copped the Xbox version just to support Sega.
Man, was a I Sega mark if there ever was one.
NFL2K did revolutionize (EA DIE!) the sport. The 1st to go online for a sports game console wise.
Phantasy Star Online was definently a game that consumed my life and I eventually cancelled it once Sega started charging too. I can't blame them since everything else online was free, and it takes alot of money to maintain those MMORPG's. And it was the 1st on a console.
Did you get Alien Front Online? The 1st microphone communication to other players game? OMG, that joint was the worst, yet it was a great feeling to know you could talk to others online,... for all of the 3-5 seconds it allow! :p
A couple Dreamcast games I would like to shout out would be Ready2Rumble and it's sequel! Power Stone 1 & 2, Evolution 1 & 2, Zombie Revenge, the dreamcast web brower that allowed me to go online when I didnt have a PC, Crazy Taxi, and Marvel Vs. Capcom!
I played Soul Edge/Blade at the Arcades. I thought it was a good game. Never played it at home because my fanboyism wouldnt allow me to buy a PSOne, ... PS2,... PSP, ... or PS3! :hardcore: NAW MEAN!
My console life goes like this in order:
NES, Gameboy, Sega Genesis, (gulp!) 32X, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Nintendo Advance SP, Xbox, GameCube (all for RE Exclusives!), Nintendo DS, Xbox360, Wii (sold it to a co-worker for face value a few months after getting it the day it came out.).

Holy crap, I forgot how much I liked Ready 2 Rumble! Lol. And I too used the web browser as my PC died around that time, so yea I got a lot of mileage out of my black "Sports Edition" Dreamcast (I had to get the black one when it came out even though I already had a white one. lol).
I even liked Crazy Taxi, but for some reason that series went into the tank VERY quickly. I only played the original Shenmue. I liked it, but I thought it was going to be better.
You know what might be worse than me playing Seaman? It's the fact that I used the VMU at work when I was bored to build up my little pet thing (can't remember the name of them now) for Sonic Adventure. Lol.
And other than Counter-Strike on the PC, there has never been any other game that I have spent more time with in my life (and I am 32 and have had every major console since the Atari) than I did with Phantasy Star Online. It's funny, because Phantasy Star Universe for the 360 blows, so maybe the gameplay hasn't aged well and it should stay in my happy memories. Lol.

How da F*&% did you use the VMU at work? Da battery literally lasted a couple hours tops, then died if even that long! Worst battery life ever for anything ever powered by a battery!!
It was good for use for using NFL2K plays when you are playing with someone else on the same console.
Shenmue lived up to the hype somewhat. Then ending where you had to do those jobs moving a forklift kinda killed the pace, but it delivered, and the ending was a perfect set up for the sequel.
Too bad the series was never popular enough to spawn a 3rd game to conclude the story. Damn, we may never see dude get revenge for his old mans death. :crying:
And you have to remember that at the time, Shenmue was the most expensive game in history. The sales were never there to support a profit unfortunately.
You still have your Dreamcast? My shiits drive died on me right on time for the Xbox release.
I still have all my games though! The black Sports edition was kick ass!

No, I don't have my Dreamcast anymore. I sold my soul to the devil a long time ago and turned it in (along with the games) to get an original Xbox, Stat Wars: Knights Of The Old Republic, Halo, that year's Madden (can't remember which year it was now), and some other kick @ss games. I still feel dirty about doing that even to this day. Especially the Madden part. Bad karma! (of course, Madden was actually good back then, though)
But I have to admit, playing Star Wars: KOTOR was certainly worth it. That game was amazing!

Yea it hurt just typing that actually. Brings back some memories! :crying:
I do that with my systems, though. If I kept every system I ever had, I would need to get a seperate bedroom in my apt. to hold them all. I have owned every major console ever made. And I have turned in every major console ever made (including a PS3 and Wii) except for my 360. The funny thing is I will probably keep my 360 for a LONG time due to the HD movies I am piling up.

You mean, HD-DVD movies? I have almost 2 dozen of those. I'm waiting for Amazon.com to have a massive fire sale still. Only movie on my must list for HD-DVD is the Matrix Ultimate set. They just increased it back to $78.95! :cuss: No one in there right mind will pay that much for a dead format. I'm still keepin a eye on Amazon.com because they have the best sales on electronics IMO outside of retail beast Best Buy.
I gave my original Xbox to my best friend. He only uses it as a DVD Player! LOL! :D And My Dreamcast died, Saturn was stolen, Genesis got thrown in the trash, I traded in my original NES & Gameboy, still have my GameCube, Nintendo GameBoy SP, DS all in their original boxes like new! I still have all my Genesis, Saturn, Xbox, Dreamcast, GC, DS, & SP games. Da games are my heart, and even without their respective consoles, I will never get rid of dem.
You never know if you will get another console in the future from ebay, amazon, gamestop, or elsewhere to relive those memories that can't be duplicated as downloadable content *cough*soul calibur XBLA*cough*
Can't see myself ever getting rid of my 360 either.
But yes, your a b@stard for selling your Dreamcast and should kill yo self for doing so ASAP! :D

Lol. I'll get right on that.
Yeah, my old Atari system died. In fact, talking to my mom, she said that her and my dad had to buy us like 3 of them because they kept dying. Funny I don't remember that. lol. I still have the games though. In fact, I actually own "E.T.", which is widely regarded as the worst game of all time and one of the causes of the videogame crash of the 80's.
Every system since then (NES, Genesis, Sega CD, 32X, Super Nintendo, PlayStation, Saturn, N64, PS 2, Gamecube, Xbox, PS3, and Wii), I have turned into Gamestop. I actually turned in the older systems to 'Funcoland' here in MN (where the company orginated) before they changed their name to Gamestop. In fact, when I was buying games for my NES as a kid, they were only a tiny company that had some store the size of my bathroom in a warehouse type area. Nothing like they are now. God, I feel old now. lol.
You can get tons of HD-DVD for cheap. Like I said in another thread, I just got '300' for $8. I just ordered 'Miami Vice' for $10. I have over 20 movies and most of them I got off the internet for around $10 since they announced they were going to stop making them. And they are all brand new. You can find better deals than Amazon, you just have to search. Some sites have better deals on certain movies than others. I have seen 'The Matrix' trilogy (like you said) priced at like $80 or so. I have also seen it priced at $40. I would have bought it if it wasn't saddled with all three movies, since the two sequals are garbage and I only want the original (one of my all time favorite movies). Unfortunately, you can't get just the original so I may end up getting the trilogy just to get the first Matrix.

I almost shot in my pants when I saw Vader as a playable character in the PS3 version... I might go rent the console just to try it out.
Its not that I am a Star Wars freak, its just hard to deny the original Vader as the ultimate bad ass.

Don't bother. I read that they will probably have Vader as a downloadable character on Xbox Live at some point. And Yoda will make an appearance on the Playstation Network.
Of course, they will probably charge ya a couple bucks.....but to use Vader, it will be worth it.

I think I read it on Gamespot or in Game Informer. I can't remember which, but I know I read it. It was awhile ago, after they announced the characters, as people were complaining about not having the other character available for their system. I am not going to spend the time looking up the link, but I know I read it somewhere.

It was gamespot.com that stated this, but it is not confirmed by anyone at Namco Bandai. I predict it will happen in 6 months from it's release for 400 MS Points (equivelant of $5.00) for Vader on 360 and Yoda on Peaceof****Network for the same amount.
I'd personally can't wait to play with Yoda. That shiit has got to be funny as hell watching this miget fight. ;)
And where have you seen the ultimate HD DVD set for The Matrix? Now link that!
And I have the Ultimate 9-Disc Matrix DVD and dont care. I still want it in HD. Shoot, I have the original Matrix single disc, and it didnt bother me to get the trilogy. I just said I will wait the rest of the movies out for the box set.
I think the whole damn series is confusing, but visually it set the standard and revolutionized action cinema, period.

Great find, some of those movies are tempting, however they want $65.00 for the Ultimate Matrix 9-HD set. Damn, I need to find a better deal on that movie. But I will mos def cop some movies from this site in the near future.
I need that Top Gun movie, though I was fooled with Goodfellas a couple years ago, and the converstion for that movie was garbage.
That was when I said to myself I would never cop a movie that was pre-HD era on a HD/Blu format player.

I hear ya man. I have Goodfellas too. Doesn't look any better than the DVD I had. Same thing with Carlito's Way. Great movie, but looks the same. So like you said, I am only focusing on movies that are newer or I don't have already. Even if it's older and I don't have it, you might be able to get it in HD for cheaper than a normal DVD nowadays.

I hear that another playable character is someone called "Apprentice", which is a young male Jedi of the human variety. He keeps being referred to as "Vader's Apprentice", and the red lightsaber seems to prove this.
