Okay, I'm having a bit of trouble with my Xbox 360 reading my music and videos on my PC. I'm running Windows Vista and have a Netgear Wireless N Router (WNR834B Ver.2). The PC is upstairs and wireless and the xbox is hardwired to the router.
Before I had Vista and the new router, media sharing worked fine. However, once I upgraded to Vista, media sharing has been a pain. I got the new Netgear router and I have added port forwarding to my 360, along with putting it in the DMZ. When I go to "Test Media Connection" on my 360, it finds my PC no problem. When I want to pull music or video though, it never comes through.
I think it may be a lack of data being transferred or something is restricting the data being flowed from my PC to router. My internet works fine wireless as does my Wii. I just can't seem to get my media working 100% of the time. Any suggestions?
