I bought NHL 09 and i'm at my cousins for a week. he has xbox live and i dont . can i register at his house and than go home and buy xbox live and register on my account and still play it??????

u dont even need an xbox with an xbox live account on it u can do it from your computer then retrieve it on ur xbox or just do it from ur xbox all u need is an internet connection

What Jark said. You can sign up for an account but you won't be forced to and if you don't plan on doing anything online you don't even need to.

You don't have to make a new Xbox Live account to play. When you are at your cousins you can play no problem or sign in and recover your account once you make one from home (or vice versa)

You can make an account at your cousins house, then when you go home and sign up for Xbox Live you can recover that account onto your Xbox 360. Hope that helps.

I understand, what you need is a memory stick or a hard drive. If you want to play at either your house and his. But! If you want to play against your cousin while you are at your house and he is at his then you will need to sign up for xbox live.

If you just want to play at your house then go over and play at his and switch back and forth like that. Then you need to make an account and save it to a memory stick or hard drive that you can take home that is yours, so you can take it home and play and when you go over to your cousin's you can play with your own profile and stuff.
