Has anyone got it? If so is it any good? I played the demo and borrowed it I played Sad but True 93% sightread on expert and others so I'm wondering if this game is a pushover.

You know I was wondering about that second pedal, because my favorite songs to play are metal songs. Wonder if it's possible to rig that up on RB2....maybe find a second pedal on ebay then go to Radio Shack and find the splitter?

I have it and I love it. I would give it a 8/10. There are a few songs that are missing and the other bands aren't very good. They have a couple goods ones like Alice in Chains and System of A Down but other than that, they aren't very good. Luckily you don't have to play them all. If your a hardcore fan of Metallica your going to love it. If you just kinda like Metallica you might not like it as much. I for one love Metallica and it is to nice to play some Dyers Eve, The Shortest Straw and Creeping Death, just some of my favorites. It just depends on how much you like Metallica really.

Negative, as I own two RB pedals and tried using a splitter with no luck. The problem was that when once pedal was pressed, it was sending the signal, so pressing the second pedal does nothing.
I'm assuming this is a special splitter that somehow opens up 'both' signals to be pressed at the same time(really fast)

It is possible I saw Someguy913 use double bass pedals for Good Mourning/Black Friday.

Maybe he has a proper splitter then, I just tried to use a simple headphone jack one and it didn't work.

I went to Gamestop on my way home from work for the midnight release.
I got off work at 11pm, and was there at about 1130pm.. so I had time to look around.
They had the Rock Band 2 Kick Pedal with adapter just for the Rock Band drums.... The adapter needs two AAA batteries....
The pedal is the exact same one that comes with the RB2 drum set. And both work in Rock Band 2 (while having one pressed down) and in GH: Metallica.
There are a few things that GH: Metallica has in the game that is nice.. like the count down after a pause... Also you can play other notes during a sustained note... also on the drums they have sustained notes (only seen it a couple of times so far) and it threw me off at first, but it was neat having that to just hit the cymbal fast rather then trying to hit a bunch of notes in a row. But like I said, only seen that a couple of times.
For some reason I can alt strum pretty well in GH:M.. but I suck at it in RB2.. probably the easier timing window in GH... but GH:M is no pushover.. some of the metallica songs are easy like Sad But True (still fun as hell to play).. but a lot of them are hard as hell..
Plus being a huge fan of metallica, having all those songs AND being able to download the Death Magnetic album is awesome! Those songs are also very hard.
So if you are a RB2 player.. look for the RB2 Kick Pedal w/ adapter It works! But my left foot doesn't work! haha I'm better off just trying to hit that fast stuff with one foot. Hopefully I improve like I did with drums in general.. I started as a medium player.. and now I can play expert on a lot of the songs.. just not the metal songs :( And it works with GH:M for that Expert+ level (or any level.. it's always active)

Finally, someone else that also has the cymbals as well! Now that I know this pedal+adapter exists for RB2, I'll keep a lookout, I've just yet to see one so far here in Canada anywhere.

Cymbals are the only way to go! :) I was a little concerned knowing there was no mapped cymbal. But having them for the drum fills is nice... plus being able to play the cymbals just gives it a more authentic feel.... and I was actually very surprised how quick I picked up if it was a tom or a cymbal being hit when I was playing. Seems like DUH now.. but when I first started playing Rock Band I knew hardly anything about drums. One of the first times I was playing an AC/DC song... I hit the yellow and blue pads together for the toms during the song and I was like "WOW it just clicked" lol and I'm mainly talking about when the blue note would either be the ride or the tom
So I checked gamestop's website and they don't have a listing for the kick pedal *shrug* Until that night, I knew nothing of a 2nd rock band pedal. When I saw it I was shocked.

I only use the two for yellow and blue though, I tried having the green one too but I just can't use it, so i use the outside notes for pads and the inside for cymbols (when it's not a difficult song, or calls for it musically)
I'm the same way, I have 0 musical talent, but RB drums I REALLY really enjoy and once I started getting good at it it just got better.

Ahhh I really like using the green cymbal for the drum fills... quickly hit the green cymbal. Or a simple roll on the pads... I just really like making all the noise on the green cymbal in the fills lol

I'm a huge fan of Metallica. I don't own this game myself, but I've played it at my friend's house multiple times. I find it to be much easier than Rock Band. I haven't played with Guitar Hero drums yet, however. I'm able to play most songs on Expert/Expert+. I plan on buying the game soon by selling Rock Band with three instruments for Playstation 2. Haha! I remember playing on Live last week. The singer picked Battery which the guitarist (my friend), the drummer (me), and the bassist (star power hog) failed at, so we picked Orion as the next song which is an instrumental. We also ended up quitting after the song was over. ;)
