August 11th Update problem

so I just got home today and I turned on my xbox to find there is a new update I download it and I got the RROD I've had the xbox for a real long time I thought I wouldn't get it after such a time I waited a few minutes and turned it on again the xbox is green again but nothing shows on the screen now.
help anyone please?

That sucks to hear. I have heard of this before after the last big update. Start the repair process and get her rolling. BTW, MS does not supply boxes anymore.

I've never had RROD my warranty expired do you know how much it costs to have it repaired?
