I'm hearing mixed opinions on this one. I don't go by reviews like IGN I trust the people more. So please post in here and let me know should I buy or rent or leave it on either shelf?

If you like Halo.. I think it's at least worth a rent.
But I think it's pretty much the same ole same ole.. so I wasn't all excited when I played it. I think I'm just over halo.. so it was just okay.

Heres my two cents. The game is good but its not worth the money. If your a major halo fan then sure get it. The only multiplayer its got is firefight and you must have people ready it won't find them for you. Campign isn't too bad like the ideas of it were pretty good, but it just simply isn't worth the money. I'd just save for MW2 or something you want. Biggest replay factor is multiplayer and it just doesn't have it.

Firefight is awesome!!! But as has already been mentioned, you need to have people to play it with you, there is no matchmaking. The othe MP aspect you get is the Halo 3 matchmaking. You get ALL the halo 3 maps with it, plus 3 new ones. So you pop in disc 2 and can play some halo 3 matchmaking. Which is always good times... If you can ignore the 12 year olds

Meh I don't have too much spending money so I'd rather save for MW2 and Mass Effect 2

Welcome back Matt, good to see you around.
I would say rental. You can easily beat the game in a few hours, and get all the story achievements in one play through.
Firefight is fun which gives it some replay value.
If you don't have any of the multiplayer maps for 3, then it may be worth it in the long run, but if you just want to play the story then rent it, or borrow it like I did.

In my opinion.. Don't buy it and use that money for Brutal Legend!

I'm a big Halo fan and I haven't bought it yet...too busy with travel. Once I get it, I'll let you know my thoughts...looks cool to me.

It would have been nice if you could use the suppressed smg in the multiplayer but you can't. Other than that I am having a good time with the game. The AI seems really good in ODST, the grunts have some new tactics.

That part about waiting for friends concerns me. Oh well, I may have to rent this one first do you guys play often?
