Came home today tried to play batman and it wouldn't read the game. It didnt give me the can't read media message it just switched from displaying reading to open tray. nothing works dvd or games. any ideas

What type of drive do you have? The BenQs have been known to have laser failure and you can purchase a new one and replace the faulty if thats the case. Not to hard to do.

Sounds like your disc drive is going/gone. Sucks to hear. I'd start the repair process here:

I don't like the sound of this myself. Mine did the same thing a night or two ago. I had to open the tray and reinsert the game, but it loaded up after that.

after about literally 30 tries it finally loaded a game. none of mine are damaged at all. I'm not sure what drive I have, I bought it used from a friend of a friend, I have no problem cracking the case if the problem persists. I shut it down for a couple hours and fired it back up, everything is A-okay for the moment.


EDIT: wicked, where is your avatar from. looks like a bad ass full size in the background, you like taking pics or into the mini truck scene?

Glad to hear it's working again.

I took the pic a couple of weeks ago at a truck show. I like them, and I was taking pics of the whole show and saw a cool shot.
I have a bunch of friends who build trucks.

Weiniestock from the 3rd of this month. Was a small show, maybe 50 trucks. Got wasted and had some fun.
