Call of Duty 7: Vietnam Confirmed

Treyarch, makers of COD:WAW and other COD will be heading up the next installment in the series. Set to release in November, just like all the others, and will be set in Vietnam.

I'm kinda excited about this. I've always wanted a good Vietnam game, now we might actually get one. I think I called this in our other COD thread a while back.

They reskinned cod4 for W@W so I'm assuming they'll do the same here. I don't know why they keep giving them COD games to rip off.

For real. We all know their just goin to reskin MW2, hopefully they do better than last time. I hated WAW so much I didn't even finish the campaign. Maybe we will get a beta this time again. That's what saved me $60 last year.

I think Treyarch did a great job on World at War. It's my understanding that they used the same engine on WaW that Infinity Ward used on Modern Warfare. If they follow the same model in the new game as they did on WaW then it should be a great game.

well if its treyarch, then its gonna suck. and i would bet a ton a money that it will be a MW2 with a Vietnam look like WaW was Cod4. if only treyarch could get some of their own ideas and do some work themselves instead of leeching of of infinity ward. I very much dislike treyarch if you didnt notice :p

I see Treyarch as a giant leech, someone I know personally said their game studio heard bad things about Treyarchs management going for a quick buck vs. innovation/making their own IP's

I saw COD:WaW as a way to make quick cash by having Activision force IW to give Trey their game engine

This sounds like Trey management going "hey guys we can just rehash the same Pacific theater art assests from WaW and pop this game out in a few days" I'm sure Activision is forcing IW to give them their updated MW2 engine as well.
