ok we all know that wonderful rule about technology and that you can never keep up with it (ya know the old computer saying "as soon as you take your top of the line computer out to your car, the next top of the line model is hitting the shelves). with today's latest top TV's being able to support 3D technology, should the gaming world follow suit? I personally would like to see that advance from rendered CG workstation animations, to a true 3D experience. While you're debating that, let me ask one last q. What game(s) would you want to be released in 3D? The reason I'm askin is b/c Square is claiming to be "interested" in doing a 3D final fantasy XIII.

I haven't experienced 'home' 3d, but - if it works, I figure it would be fairly incredible. No doubt, it's the future.

Until there is a no-glasses option, I don't really care about 3D gaming, cause as it is now like movies, most of the time it's very gimmicky.

The capability for 'glasses' free 3d has already been developed.

It just shows the aspects / perspective / position and whatever else of the object relative to your position.

I believe it was first done by a guy who reverse-engineered a wiimote

I prefer the old 2d gaming with a controller, no motion control.

MS has stated that the 360 is already capable of 3D, but they don't plan on pursuing it until the demand becomes higher.
