Ubisoft has released a single player demo for Splinter Cell: Conviction today on Xbox Live.

Quene it up for download here (http://marketplace.xbox.com/en-US/games/media/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8025553080b/)

The demo is the same level that we have been seeing in the trailers in which Sam interrogates a man and infiltrates a warehouse building full of bad guys to disarm a EMP. There are 3 different difficulty's, rookie, normal, & realistic.

I played this morning before work and I really enjoyed it. The graphics are sweet, the sound is amazing. You can hear everything. The gameplay and controls work very well. The demo is alot of fun. I played on normal, looking forward to trying realistic tonight.

Unfortunately no. I was hoping so too.

EDIT: Also, text "weapon" to 44144 to get a free weapon. I just got mine.

I never thought I would say this... but F ubisoft and their draconian PC DRM system. Because of that I haven't bought assassin's creed on any platform nor shall I buy splinter cell.

On the PC version you HAVE to be connected to the internet in order to play even the single player game. That means if I put it on my laptop to play on the run I HAVE to find wifi and if my internet for any reason should go out I can no longer play the game until it is back up.

On top of that their authentication servers have been crashing so even if I am at home and have an internet connection there is a chance I still won't be able to play due to problems on their end.

That's why you just need to buy them on Xbox and be done with it.

That is still supporting a company that is doing something insanely stupid. I even went so far as to take the Ubi games I did own to the local game store so people could buy them used instead of purchasing new copies.

Got the code for the free weapon, thanks for the heads up.

I won't be playing this demo though, this is one of those games that I want to wait until the full retail version to play it.

Wow, I REALLY like what they did with the game. I'm a little dissapoint the demo has no MP portion, but at least it gives an idea. Not sure if I'm a fan of having to melee to refill the Mark and Exectute, but I undertsand it would be too overpowered if you could keep doing it.

I am hoping you are talking about co-op multi that was announced. Because there is no multi for the game at launch.

There is a good chance it is already on the disc... :watchout:

The co-op is on the disc, you just have to unlock diffrent game modes by beating the game.

Also, get $5 off if you pre-order with Amazon.com. Enter code "Splinter" in the checkout screen.

I've just finished playing the demo... My god, that was sick as hell. I felt like a right bad-ass.

Very very impressed.
