HAs a lot of info on the game. Apparently you can shoot anything including birds out of the sky if you wish!!!! Also <b> the poly count for your troops is around 2-3000 polygons per soldier and it shows. You could also see blood pools when an enemy was downed and you could see your men breathing condensation clouds at night. </b>

more info in the preview

It is working now and here is another snippet from it for you

The 3D surround sound system which complemented gameplay also made for some really cool sound effects as bullets whizzed past your head. The explosion effects were also brilliant with the rocket and grenade attacks being punctuated by some really cool particle effects.

A good read and below is just one of the questions with answer

What’s the most realistic element?

Sorry, you are asking me a very difficult question here, because it is quite hard to define just one point. I would be split between the detail that you have with the different targets and the action that goes on during a fire fight: Changing mags; taking fire; man down; moving now… intermingled with very realistic effects on weapon damage, particularly when using the M203 grenade launcher on Iraqi targets.

Hi Irule

The release date you have seen is wrong. A USA publisher has still to be announced for the game and I reckon you have a good 3 months min before release.

From what I have seen and PLAYED the wait will be worthwhile. The AI is absolutely spot on

04-06-2002, 12:08 PM
How were u able to play it before release? Are you a reviewer?

04-07-2002, 04:42 PM
thanks for the sites - i'm really looking forward for this one. for a release date i heard LATE fall. hopefully it won't get delayed like some current games have.

TakeTWO are now the USA publisher for this it has been announced

Releasese date is 100% september and the game is not far from completion as I have played late code and it is 100% top stuff

04-10-2002, 08:06 AM
How are you guys playing latest code for this game?? I want in :P

I live in the UK and got to play the game at the publishes AGM and it was just superb

There was an Iragi manned machine gun so the sniper took the gunner out, switched control to the weapons guy, ran to the gun emplacement and just wasted the lot of em:D
