Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock will be the next installment to the Guitar Hero franchise and if the rumours are true it will also have the biggest On-Disc Selection of Rock Music EVER In a Guitar Hero game.
This autumn, YOU and the rest of te living room legends + mates will join together and embark on an epic rock journey to save rock n’ roll with the latest installment in the world’s most popular music game series. You will once again redefine music gaming with an all-new, story-driven Quest Mode, a completely redesigned rock-inspired guitar controller, the biggest on-disc selection of rock music ever in a Guitar Hero game and a new feature called Quickplay+, which invites challenge-starved fanatics to test their rock skills in any of the on-disc or over 500 songs in the Guitar Hero Music Library.

Running on the powerful Guitar Hero engine that has been expanded and refined, coupled with the return of the critically acclaimed and fan favourite features like Party Play’s jump in/jump out gameplay, a host of Competitive modes and the ability to play any combination of guitar, bass, drums and vocals, Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock offers the complete interactive and connected experience bringing friends and foes to the stage in the ultimate rock music adventure.

“Guitar Hero has set the standard for music based gaming and with Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock and the game’s all-new Quest Mode, robust and authentic set list, over-the-top challenges and rock-inspired new hardware, we are once again bringing the soul and energy of rock n’ roll to fans around the world,” said David Haddad, Chief Operating Officer, Guitar Hero.

In Quest Mode, using any combination of instruments, players will embark on a larger-than-life, epic rock journey from the stage of CBGBs, the infamous punk-rock club in New York City, to the molten lava fields of rock treachery as eight Guitar Hero characters transform into rock warriors that must join together to use their unique, game-changing powers to help the Demi-God of Rock take down “The Beast” and save rock n’ roll.

"The world is a boring place. Come with me, and enter a world populated of Demi-Gods and Beasts. Transform from an everyday person and become the savior of rock and roll,” said Gene Simmons of KISS. “It was an honour and privilege to narrate Guitar Hero: Warriors of Rock, even more so, to voice the Demi God. From the God of Thunder to the Demi-God, how cool is that..."

I'm not going to lie I've lost all interest in Guitar hero. Their originality has just gone down the toilet. The songs that I want to play on that setlist is already on rock band so...

Who knows it could be something mindblowingingly new but I'll have to see some footage first.

I was going to say pass untill I saw the track list. There's just way to much good music on there to not play it.
I'll atleast Gamefly it.

I expect to spend about $700 on Rock Band 3 stuff this Christmas: Two of the top guitars w/ strings, two copies of the game with keyboards, two sets of cymbals and a 2nd level guitar w/ strings.

From what we saw @ E3, RB 3 is going to smash the music comp. this year. RB 3 will have over 2,000 total tracks that you can play in RB 3, plus the new Fender Stratocaster controller is going to be a musical revolution considering this is the first time an actual musical instrument is available for a music game. Not only that, but if you don't know how to play an actual 6 string guitar, RB 3 will have a tutorial that will teach you chords and harmonies etc. so this also marks the first time a music game is set to not only perform but teach you how to. Plus when playing the 6 string you can play it multiple ways from either a red, blue, green, style gameplay that we all know already, to a special 6 string version of the user interface where it will show you what notes and chords to hit.

Guitar Hero left us feeling a bit flat, and scared at the same point lol. Sure new controllers, whoopie, however, there is much more innovation in RB 3 than the new Guitar Hero.

If you're in the market for either game this year, make the wise choice and go with RB 3.

Have they announced a date for Fiddle Hero? :)

Seriously, strings are cool, but the keyboard is where it's at.

I don't think I will be getting this game. I like the older guitar hero games. The newer games have not been as good.
