Every once in awhile,when i'm playing a game my xbox dvd drive seems to stop whirling and pick up again.the game never crashes though it just pauses for a sec.It doesn't happen that often.Has anyone else had this occurence???

That sometimes happes to me when my Xbox starts, it will stop making any noise and looks like it will freeze. I was wondering about that too.

It could be the Xbox just switching between Dvd layers.. that would cause a small noticeable skip... it would always occur at the same place in the game though if that was the cause.

Sorry, dude... the only time I've had anything go somewhat wrong was when my wife accidentally put in a cd that had mp3's on it. I didn't like that.
