I was going to get the game. But I am going to wait till the end of the year when all the content is out and prices have been revealed.

that's really lame that the main aspect (coop) isnt even gonna be in the game at launch. seems kinda pointless to even have the game in xbla soa if its essentially incomplete.
This by far has been the weakest SoA.....very dissapointed with the showing this year. Looks like Castlevania will be the only title I get out of the 5 offered.

Limbo was the only one I picked up. I thought Hydro Thunder, Castlevania was going to be good but I am disappointed. More so with Castlevania with how heavy the multiplayer was. None of my friends picked it up so its kind of a waste if I do.

ya Limbo looks good, but I just can't bring myself to buy it. Most of these titles I'll probably buy when the go on sale.
Overall I declare SoA a dissapointment compared to previous years.

I am going to have to agree with you. I wish Shank and Scot Pilgrim was part of SoA.

I agree that the Summer of Arcade games, at the least the ones that I've purchased, are kindof disappointing... I only have Castlevania, Limbo, and Monday Night Combat --- however, I see a common trend with all three of these games, which would be LIMITED CONTENT...
I'm not much of a Tomb Raider fan, but this new Lara Croft game looks pretty decent, and I will probably still get it --- but YET AGAIN, the game is launched with limited content in the sense that the co-op mode is not included... I think they should have reduced the price of this particular game since they couldn't even include the Co-op at launch...

I think they should have just waited to release it along with the PS3 version so we'd have coop day one as well. That's the only reason I was planning on getting this. My friend and I were gonna play together, but now we have to wait and by then I'll be too busy with other stuff (namely Halo)

Yeah I'm pretty big into co-op games lately as well, namely Splinter Cell Conviction... But I still can't wait to play this games co-op...

Tomb Raider is fun, but you can tell how much better it would be with live co-op. I caved and picked it up :p

Are you the person who actually writes professional reviews for this website? And IF you are, why exactly did you give it a 7.5 for sound --- because I think I might have missed that part in the review...

I didn't get into detail of it, but the voice acting aside from Lara is absolutely horrible to the point of being laughable.

Voice acting is really that horrible, huh? What about the musical score itself?
Im a huge Metal Gear Solid fan, and sometimes have issues with games that have terrible musical scores...

Nothing to be noteworthy. There are some recycled stuff from the past game, but it's all overshadowed by the constant PEW PEW PEW from your guns to tell, hence the 7.5

They probably had to make big cuts to the audio to keep the file size small (relatively as its still 2 gigs)
either way, after playing the demo, I'm gonna pass for now. Maybe someday if/when they have it on deal of the weak, but it's not something I feel is worth my time right now.

despite the bad news, I LOVE THIS GAME and can't wait for the MP DLC... i haven't completed it yet and am only starting level 3, but i love it, and honestly i think its one of the best arcade titles so far in terms of quality, i give this game 2 THUMBS UP!!!!

I played the demo and i must say, I'm not all that impressed. I wouldn't say its a bad game by any stretch, but it just didn't seem like something I'd want to spend my time playing. Glad to see others are enjoying it though.

Yeah, I got the game the other day and (briefly) played it for a couple of hours... I think the game is pretty solid, and the voice acting doesn't even come close to ruining the game (for me) --- as I've played several excellent games in the past with pretty weak voice acting (like the original Perfect Dark, etc.)

But also:
I think it's one of the better Summer of Arcade games, and at this point, I've played all 5...
Limbo was a fairly decent game, but didn't seem like you got very much bang for the buck... When I first bought Castlevania, I wondered why in the world did I buy that game... But after you level up, things get better, and I would classify this game as being O-K...
The other 3 (Laura Croft included), seem to be pretty solid...
