Forza Motorsport 3 Instead of Halo Reach!?!

Ok so I was thinking at my desk at work today, which I normally try not to do, and I was going over my decision this month on the one game that I would be purchasing. As of last month I have limited myself to only one game a month so I thought that I would get Halo Reach this month mainly due to all the people going to get it here that I could play with. Something weird happened as I was thinking about this as I asked myself did I really want to get Halo Reach and my answer was...."no".

I thought that this was odd as I have played and liked Halo 3 but I never owned it really only borrowing it. So as I looked over Gamespot.com and reviews for games there I fianlly decided on Forza Motorsport 3 as the game I would get this month. I liked the demo and it's something that I can play for awhile and have for a long time. It's weird because latley I have been favoring more "realistic" games such as Forza 3 or Oblivion. Anyways do any addicts here play Forza Motorsport 3?

wow, Oblivion being "realistic"? I wish that were the case, I dream of slaying monsters and turning into a vampire to get ppl in their sleep lol. If I still had my copy of FM3 I'd play. I think Ralliart has that game? lol you want to talk about a die hard racing fan, he's the one lol. you could have a game racing grocery carts and he'll grab it on launch day lol.

I guess by realistic I meant as in gameplay? It's hard to describe I guess because for example Fable II was ok but I find Oblivion more realistic....I cannot find the word I am looking for I guess.

I don't know, a lot of people especially on this forum, will be playing Reach for a long time, and at Gamestop, they have the ODST and Forza 3 bundle for 50 bucks I believe, so next month you can get two used games for less than the cost of one new one lol.

So I mean, unless you're not looking forward to anything next month, I do think you should get Reach this month to play with everyone lol.

Try the NFS: Shift demo first!! I tried both, bought Forza 3, returned it, and got Shift. I think it is much better!

ya.....I'm gonna have to totally disagree with you on that one. In terms of the better overall package its not even close. Forza has more tracks, more cars, far superior livery, and most importantly for anyone who's into simulation style racing, the physics and handling is FAR superior in Forza 3.

That being said, NFS Shift is a good title as well and I certainly enjoyed it, but its definitely not as good as Forza 3 (imo) .

I will agree and say that trying out demo's is ALWAYS smart to do before investing any money though

i've got a copy of Forza 3 and enjoy it just haven't had the time here lately to play it as much as I'd like to. The selection of cars is great and the simulation feel is definitely enjoyable. good luck w/ the purchase and maybe see you on the tracks

LOL I stayed up until 2am playing Forza 3 and I love the game. The online auction house is cool as well. Next month I plan on getting Fallout New Vegas for sure and Nov. I am not sure what I will get if anything. I might not get Halo Reach for some time to be honest. It's weird because latley I have just wanted to play single player games with an occasional spot of Battlefield now and then.

Good choice Frank. There is no way Shift is better then Forza. Its fun but not better. As soon as I finish Scott Pilgrim I am putting Forza back in. Your on my friends list so if I see you online I will shoot you an invite for some friendly racing. BTW, the last 4 or 5 days I have been having second thoughts about Reach myself.

Sounds great man I look forward to racing! I am sure that Reach is going to be a great game I guess I just lost interest in it and I am not sure why. I have played them all and maybe that's why? I am a huge Battlefield fan and very much prefer them to Halo that's for sure. The great thing about Halo is going to be that many of the people here are going to have it and for the most part we are all mature. Playing Halo with crap talking 10 year olds is what I am avoiding which rarely happens in a Battlefield game to my knowledge.

BTW I forgot this is a long weekend. This is for anyone that plays Gears Of War 2. This weekend from Sept 3 till the 7th. You get 25x XP when playing Gears. So I am going to be all over this. :D
