Cannot transfer data to new 360.

I bought a new 360 (250gb slim design) and I have the the data transfer kit from microsoft but when i try to do the transfer it recognizes my old 120 gb hard drive as a usb device and it wont let me transfer. Anyone else have this issue?

I had the same issue. I just needed a version 2 of the transfer disc. Because the old disc doesn't see the 250GB drive.

I would hope the new transfer kits come from the same place. I'd call Xbox or something. They'll probably know the trick.

It's not a download, you ask Microsoft for it. They sent mine for free.
