Assassin's Creed (I & II) or Borderlands?

For Christmas I got 7,200 Microsoft Points along with Assassin's Creed Brotherhood. I found myself confused as to what's going on in the campaign considering it mentions the previous games. So I got the idea of buying Assassin's Creed I and II from the Marketplace. However, my friend mentioned that I could also buy Borderlands. So, I was curious, which one do you guys recommend?

I personally would say get I & II so you can get a feel for everything and have a better understanding of everything. You could always get Borderlands at a later time but if you would enjoy more gunplay w/ a wide variety of weapons and diff characters to play w/ along w/ MP then go that direction.

To understand the ezio storyline you really don't need the first game, just the second, though if you want to know what's up with Abstergo, Desmond, and everything else you'll need the first one.

I totally agree, if you have the chance, pick up ac 1&2, you should be able to find massive sales and deals and get them very cheap (a TON cheaper than you can find on the "Games on Demand"). Save your points and pick up ac 1 first, and play through to get the groundwork for an amazing series, then by then pick up ac 2 and start ezio's story, then tackle brotherhood and you're in for one amazing experience after another.

I'd go with AC1 and 2 just so you can play Brotherhood, cause it's amazing

I'll say I much preferred the Assassin's Creed games over Borderlands, oh and never buy games on demand, they're a ridiculous ripoff (most of the time, oh and nobody start an argument over it, please :) ). I would recommend playing AC1 first, so you'll know all the story. I have yet to really play Brotherhood yet :( .
