Hey,
I was wondering what you guys thought about my idea
I have been on PSN since 2006 but only Xbox since 2009 and I want to get my PS3 back.
Now I know this is a Xbox forum so I won't be surprised if you guys are not keen on PS3's but I wanted to know what you think of it now?
Because I'm only 15 I need to wait till Christmas to buy one but should I sell my Xbox or don't spend anything on it?

Why, what exclusives do you want to play?

Whether you should or should not is up to you, I bought a PS3 to play exclusives I couldn't play on xbox. Games such as MAG, Demons Souls, FFXIII (Yes I know this is multiplat but I hate multi-disc), White Knight Chronicles (which despite reviews I really liked, and can't wait for the second).
So like Var said, what exclusives do you want to play? And is it enough for you to want to get a PS3 again.

I still don't get how people use that as a con towards a game. Oh no, I have to get up from my seat 10 hours after I started playing to put in another disc.

If there is some exclusive games the PS3 has that you want to play, I say go for it! I won't be talking to you anymore, though ;)

Yes for exclusives and the fact I have a lot of friends on PS3 too!

I have a PS3 for the exclusives, any game that is multi platform though I buy for the 360. This is also the same reason why I have a Wii, I need my Mario and Zelda fix.
Anyway, like everyone else said it is totally up to you. You have to ask yourself, is playing the exclusives worth buying a PS3 for? A plus is that you also have friends on the PS3, which hopefully is there primary console. I have friends on the PS3, but most aren't on PSN because, as like me, they love Xbox and Xbox Live

I bought a PS3 to use as a blue-ray player almost three years ago and not only have I never watched a movie on it, but I have only played around 3 games on it. Heh, it still has OFW 3.15 on it.
I would keep your Xbox 360 and buy a PS3 later.

You could even save up and look ahead a couple years. Get both consoles when they come out.

I find any sort of physical media to be a nuissance. Having multiple discs is a con, however you look at it. I'd imagine MS will eventually adopt bluray.
I also tend to lose discs, so any more than 1 for a game and it's pretty much guaranteed that one of 'em is going to disappear.

I would if you want to play the exclusives. PS3 has some good games that's not offered on Xbox. I'm looking forward to the new Resistance game coming out this September. I play all my online games on Xbox because their online play is better.

If I get enough Money maybe get a Ps3 or I'll just wait till I go college and spend the money on it if I get a part time job.

I have the original 20 GB HDD, I install my games, I don't have enough room to install multiple discs for one game. I install my games because my 360 is in a small room, if I don't install my games, the room gets hotter two times faster, the room stays room temperature if I install the games with the A/C running. It gets hot as hell if I don't.
