1. can anybody make a list via threads to this subject on how to do some of the street challenges, the descriptions are pretty vague and sometimes i complete them and i wasn't even sure how i did it but i got a free soul anyways? i've completed a lot of them already but i still don't have a few. i will list a few that i completed.

2. bloody hell. still can't figure this out! on chou street, there are these four raised platforms in which you must jump across water. only problem is that there is graffiti and about two graffiti souls in areas that i cannot access because i can't jump close enough toi them even with the fastest skater (corn) i have. plus there is a street challenge which asks a 'grind to sewage', yep still confused. this is probably very obvious but i sure as hell ain't getting it.

thanks for any tips. :)

First off you use your brain. If you can't get across, use your boosters. DUH! ok I will help you with all the levels!

1. Dogenzaka Hill, just grind all the way down the level. Easiest to use the rails all the way to the right from the start.

2. Shibuya Terminal, Jump on all the platforms. Grinding is OK. But for the platforms with ramps, you must hit the green part. Also you must land on the slanted one too, that is a platform thing.

3. Chuo Street, you know that part where you can grind and wallride on billboards by the halfpipe? Start at the first rail farthest from the halfpipe, and grind and wall ride all the way to the half pip?

4. Hikage Street, The level to the right from the start. Grind all the way up to the top on the rails. Then grind all the way down without falling.

5. Rokkaku-Dai Heights, there is a part in this level where there is a circular staircase. Grind up this thing, then you will go down some wire, then you will grind up a building. That simple.

6.Tokyo underground Sewage Facility, Go to the top. Right when you enter the top part, there are some rails worth 500 that go around the center. Grind on those, and hit the Y button like Tap...tap...tap. In a rythm all the way around so you turn around back and forth. This way you can rack up alot of points.

7.Bottom point of Sewage facility, just grind on the red pipe and do the Y thing like on 6.

8.Kibogaoka Hill, Grind on the top wire of the towers. The one on the right. Then when you get on the top platform there is a gate on the other side. Just go through it. It has japanese letters on it that mean Daruma in english, whatever that is.

9. The fortified Residential zone, simple. On the top part of it there should be a loooooong virtical beam. just grind it up to the top.

10. 99th street, grind around the red rails that surround the tower on the sidewalk. Do not fall. That simple.

11. Skyscraper District and Pharoh Park, go off the rising platform onto the blue rails. Then grind around the tower without falling.

12.Highway Zero, Do 6 wall rides without falling. I guess that is it, because that is the only one I haven't done.

13. Sky dinosaur square, this one is hard. You must jump on the swinging thing from a rail. Then you must jump off onto another rail. The swinging thing is that ride that has the two parts that swing across the level.

That is all the 5th street challenges I know of in the game. I believe those are the only ones. unless there are some secret ones or something. anyway... If you do all the street challenges for levels, you can then do test runs with roboy and get characters and graffiti souls with some. I have gotten so far, Right now: Pots (the dog), Gouji, Zero Beat, Nt-3000(fake yoyo), doom riders, and poison Jam. There are a bit more, I am about to get this one from fortified residential zone. I Just have to get one more thing. Oh yeah, and what you have to do to get the characters is simple. you have to get a "Jet" rating on all the challenges possible for that level. Like for the first level you get Zero Beat. You have to get a Jet rating on Graffiti. Then Jet on Tech where you have to get the highest point. Which you can do by just going up and down the rail all the way to the right from the start. While doing the Y button thing from #6 above. Lastly you have to get a Jet in Dash. Which is where you go around the level trying to get the fastest time.

Well I hop I have cleared up some questions and helped people that were confused. You are welcome!
:D

thanks masta chief! i'm an idiot, i answered my own question the same day i posted it about chou street. i'm always forgetting about those boosters, the brain usually doesn't work overtime.

thanks for the tips about the street challenges, it's just to get those little bits of graffiti that i can't seem to find (like that one in sky dinosaurian site but i can't see it on the map!)

two more questions for you, mastachief:

1) what technique did you use to get the shibuya terminal fifth challenge? i've managed to get on all thirteen platforms touching the green areas and i still get nothing. i first go to the seven closely surrounded platforms and jump successfully and then grind up a rail to jump on the three platforms just directly north of the seven platforms already touched and sweep from the sloped platform onto the other two platforms. from there i grind up to the catwalk (i take the leftmost stairs from looking directly at the stairpaths from the last platform) and jump off landing on the green with the ramp and offramp onto the next platform and then jump directly right onto the last platform. this is where i get mad! this is the only one left out of all of them except for one level and that leads to another question...

2) where in the hell is the mystery tape for highway zero? i've zoomed through that map and looked in every crevice for that tape and it is nowhere to be found, am i missing something? can you vaguely remember where it is? i figured there might not be one considering there wasn't a challange to spary the graffiti on that one. if i can just get that last tape, i can beat the game and do the test runs which should be bloody easy sort of! ;)

thanks again > autauro

ps: man i am a buffoon when it comes to getting items via the boost dash. i never use it and then i wonder why?

First you got the platforms right. The last two, the long one with a ramp next to the other one. You go on the long one with a ramp, and face in the opposite direction the ramp is on. Now that you have done this, you should see the smaller platform with a ramp. You boost dash onto that one and boom you got the soul. It took me a while to figure that out. So don't feel stupid.

Second. This one is easy!!!!!!!! You know the spot where you find Soda, you should know that. YOu go along that alley and run tino the carts and stands. When you knock one over it exposes a tape. I found that one by accident. SEE! I told you I can answer any question!

Got a question for you masta chief. For some reason I am having trouble on three of the challenges, I seem to be completing them, but maybe I am missing some nuances to the way I am doing them. First Dogenzaka Hill. Yes the easiest of them..hehe I have even finished Sky Dinosaurian, and this one still eludes me. I have grinded down the left, middle and right one, but it never rewards me for grinding all the way down? Do I not do any grind tricks? Are there sections where I have to jump to another rail? I have tried almost everything on that avenue.

Second is Chao street. Again I have grinded the rails and wallridden all the boards flawlessly? Perhaps I should jump from the wallride instead of fall down to the grind. should I jump into the sewer or just fall into it from the last wallride? Should I grind on the sewer when i reach it? All of these things shouldnt matter, but again I must be missing something.

THe Last one I am missing is the Skyscrapper district. I start on the ground floor, but have grinded around the statue flawlessly, but again no soul for me. I know all these things sound odd and I should be getting my graffiti souls, but if any light could be shed on it, it would be appreciated. thanks

from the start of the level go the rail on the right. Grind all the way down it, then jump to the next rail, do this all the way to the bottom, or until you get a soul.

Chuo Street I have to look into that...I think you have to do something, but I can't remember.

Skyscrapper district, you need grind up the brown poles and then jump onto the platform. it will start to rise. As it does this, jump off onto the blue rails. Then jump from rail to rail while grinding, without falling. That should give you the soul.

Thanks Masta Chief, still no luck for me on Dogenzaka Hill or Chao street though? Hehe i really find it amusing that the two easiest challenges to accomplish are the only ones I am having trouble with. Perhaps something is messed up in my game? not likely, but I am gonna try and start a new one and see if I can do it on a seperate story line? Thanks anyways

for the Hill...Just try to grind from the top of the level, to the bottom, without touching the ground. Doesn't matter where. Try the one on the left. That works too

Hehe I have tried just about everything. Its really easy to grind from the top to the bottom without touching the ground, just not sure, what the problem is. I havent tried starting a new game yet, but will sometime soon. Hehe gotta love the game tho. Thanks again

for 99th street you need to start at the one hallway that's lit up and grind the rails clockwise. You need do grind them in that specific order, that's why you had to do it twice. Before I was just doing it counter-clockwise.
Masta Chief, if you could find out what the deal is with Chou Street it would really help me out, that is the last challenge that I have left.
Also, do any of you know how to get one of the graffeitti souls on Kiboaka Hill? It's the one that's after the power lines and it's way to the bottom. I have no clue how to get it, and I've haven't even seen it yet. I've been all around the area on the water after the power lines and on the stairs and every nook and every cranny and oh god I wish I could just put the controller down and go do something else!!!
SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THESE LAST TWO THINGS I'M GOING CRAZY:eek:

Some of us dont have time to explore every rail in this vast frickin game...Wayyyy too many places to explore...you think you have the game completed and you get frustrated because there seems to be no end...
Anyway, is there a code that can be used to unlock all characters and maps?
Hey gum, i suppose your email address is punkbooch@yahoo...? I may hit you up because I m stuck in the dinosaurian square...also, theres this dude who I m supposed to catch but I cant find him...

this one is easy!
just simply grind and wallride until u reach the last rail, slow down on the last rail and fall right in front of the rail, don't go into the halfpipe, just fall right in front of the last rail.
there ya go!

I cannot complete Jet Tech for Shibuya Terminal. Is something wrong with me??? I grind for the entire time on that one 500x rail and press Y continuously, but I can never get enough points. I just don't know what else to do.

By, googling how you get lots of trick points on high way zero?... WHY ARE YOU STILL PLAYING JSRF? It's not that good, and this is the future now, you can't play games that are in the past, especially over five years in the past. What's wrong with you, this thread is two years old.
