Aussies on launch date

Any other Aussie on launch date get the Microsoft bag for free with there XBOX. I got my xbox at Kmart and they gave me the official bag and buyers guide to xbox mag. Then my friend bought one two days later from the same place and got the same deal. I was at a different kmart today gloating over games I don't have and notice another dude buy a xbox and get nothing.. Did anyone else get the freebies or was I just lucky..
