Does anyone know what wrestlers will be in Raw IS War or a good site with info on it?

Rancey

All I know is there are 35 - 37, so I guess it is not including any of the alliance superstars.

Sorry bro, the list of wrestlers has yet to be announced. As for info, i dont think theres that much of that released yet also. The newest issue of gamepro has a good write up about it though, its a nice read

i love the wwf but this game is only if you love great graphocs and gameplay there will be no tlc, table, ladder, hell in a cell and cage matches pretty much so far only six man tag which soudns pretty cool and rumble and the onther usuallys like one on one pretty much if you like straight gameplzy rawiswar if you want decent gameplay and a crazy amout of matches (75!) pic smackdown 3

personally i have psx2 i have preorederd xbox and i am gonna rent both and pick the funner one not better graphics

Smackdown 3 is a piece of crap just like PS2..... you people complain about options and stuff, who cares? Does modes make a game? I mean, ok, table match, ECW Anarchy Rulz had that, was that game great? Far from it. I dont want a match that ends once i put someone through a table, i wanna keep puttin em through it, the game DOES have tables btw, so i dont see why that matters.

As for graphics, RAW kicks SMACKDOWN 3's junk all over the place, the models in smackdown are 1500 polygons, which isnt bad, but RIW's are 4800, so you draw the conclusions.

Gameplay wise, people are already complaining about smackdown 3's similarity to smackdown 2. The action is extremely unreal and fast paced, where as WWF Raw Is War is more fluid and based closely to the pace of WWF No Mercy on n64. While it is true that Smackdown 3 will have over 70 diff matches and modes total, this is obviously to make up for their other shortcomings. What do i mean? Well lets look at the animation process. Smackdown 3 took Smackdown 2's animations and changed them a tiny bit to get with the times. RIW animations were created by the same team who did the entire Tekken series animations. Now, in order to meet RIW on the same level, they also decided to have action spill into the crowd, but theres one major difference, their crowd is the same old paper thin 2 frame animation crowds, RIW is fully 3D and interactive with many diff animations each.

RIW has also implemented the first ever "Interfere with your opponents ability to their game. Smackdown does not have this. Now we all remember smackdowns entrances, the character coming out to a titan tron that is the entire background, however, RIW is actual entrances to each detail, Such as rikishi touching his nose as he comes out (which is how he tells his children he loves them), The undertaker even has his trademark Limp Bizkit rollin entrance complete with motorcycle. As for commentary, unfortunately, there wont be any in RIW, SD3 will have commentary by Tazz and Michael Cole. With all this in mind think also about the way they were made. Smackdown 3 is on the same outdated engine that was first introduced by Toukon Restuden 1 back in 1994. Its definetly not anything new. RIW is built from the ground up on its own engine. RIW will have blood too, something smackdown 3 will lack. Now, while it is true RIW will have no season mode, it will have a single player mode.

Moving on to CAW, smackdown 3's is exactly the same as before, which we all know is not very good, as bad of an engine as Warzone was built on, its CAW was the best ive ever seen. Now, combine that with even more things to add to your wrestler, custom logos, tattoos, placement of items, over 100,000 clothing items, and the move customization of No Mercy with over 300,000 diff moves and of course the active preview too, now with all this together what do you get? One sweet feature thats for sure.

Now mash all that together into one game, plus add Online play (still in the air), downloadable updates, trading CAW and custom arenas and mat grafix, and i think you will see which is the better overall game.

Aaron

No no no cvking

Lemme rephrase that

If you want tons of meaningless modes that are there to take attention off the fact that SD3 is infact SD2.5, Get SD3. If you want attention to detail and kick ass graphics, get RIW

I hate the smackdown series. I love what Ive heard about RIW. My favorite thing is the CAW mode. Even if its just like a name changer (Revenge) or something. I love creating my own dud to kick ass with.

Aaron
09-05-2001, 09:01 PM
As do i... just imagine with that HD the kinds of people we can make

Severe_Tire_Damage
09-05-2001, 09:03 PM

Aaron

Severe_Tire_Damage
09-05-2001, 09:11 PM
Infinite Replaybility. Who needs a bunch of fancy modes and options when you got near flawless graphics, flawless gameplay, and an endless CAW.

If online playing turns out to be an option, I challenge you. My greatest CAW vs your greatest.

Aaron
09-05-2001, 09:14 PM
Its a deal.

Smackdown 3 has already confirmed NO net support...... RIW is still up in the air

cvking
09-05-2001, 09:37 PM
If you can download new weapons then you will probably be able to download new modes like a hardcore match or new backstage areas or even tlc matches and dont say they are "booty" like you did before becasue think about the great gameplay of the no mercy ladder match but add better gameplay with the sweetest wrestling graphics and the best game console you got a really fun ladder match.

Aaron
09-05-2001, 09:40 PM
real wrestling fans know that theres more to it than hardcore matches

WheresYOURgoldMedal?
09-05-2001, 10:10 PM
thats right, there are things like finishing moves and tabels and giving people finishers through tables. and other stuff too

Severe_Tire_Damage
09-05-2001, 10:15 PM
I don't think you'd be able to download new matches. Not only would it be extremly difficult to do but it would be more work then Im sure THQ is willing to do. Anyway, I don't care about hardcore matches or anything. Hardcore matches are just beating people with things which, for me, is really boring.

Aaron
09-05-2001, 10:21 PM
sure they would... like at fire pro wrestling they have add on moves, matches, weapons, rosters, the works

Severe_Tire_Damage
09-05-2001, 10:35 PM
Moves, weapons, and rosters and small things like that I can see them making. They will have to make a believer out of me with the matches though. I don't think this game has alot of emphasis on match types. But then again, i still don't know a whole lot about the game except that it'll rock.

Aaron
09-05-2001, 10:50 PM
Believe in THQ, look at their previous wrestling credits.

Actually, I don't even have an Xbox reserved yet. I can get one reserved in like a week though. It doesn't matter where I live. Not many people can afford Xbox's where I live. I live in this small little town. I have to go to Yakima to reserve my Xbox.

Severe_Tire_Damage
