A question for the experts

I've been playing Rallisport now for about a week and really enjoy it however I do find it tough. At this point I have been only able to accumulate about 6500 points. Does anyone have any specific tips on this such as what cars respond the best on what tracks or what is the best car set up for certain races? Any help on this would be appreciated.

I beat beginner and normal using the same strategy. Pick the faster car from the specific colour class, and drive each course carefully. In other words, dont go speeding around the track smashing into things. Take it a little slower, manipulate the turns, and pin everytime your co-driver says "long straight"
