here is a contest through codemasters and ign i think, where you design a steampunk themed console to promote damnation. i didnt see the contest section so i posted this here, sry if it is in the wrong spot. but ya, there certainly is the talent here to dominate this contest. check it out.

I saw that. I don't want to do a whole console, but I thought I would just try to enter with a faceplate. I've started one, but I'm really not very happy with it and not sure I'll finish it. Steampunk isn't just about the components, it's about the design, and I don't "understand" the design. Some rust, gears and a pipe alone don't make it "steampunk."
That PS3 that is the prize is pure sex, though.
ya i agree about the whole design thing. ive tried several things now and they keep comming out looking more plumberesque than steampunk, and its getting really frusterating
