Whilst FPS fans in the States are no doubt already filling their boots with the lush visuals of Perfect Dark Zero, we still have 9 days to wait – both for console and game.
To wet our appetites further, Microsoft's Ken Lobb (speaking at Zero Hour) has today announced of 2 new gameplay modes for PDZ – both of which will be available to download via Xbox Live… for free!
Those familiar with Mz. Dark’s previous incarnation on the N64 will recall the ‘Scenario’ mode, tasking you to solve, survive and complete a number of specialized missions (such as taking out enemies with a specific weapon or completing a stage under a time limit). The new addition is ‘Counter-Operative’ - pitting you against another player, they then assume control of any enemy troops on a single player mission, in an anti-co-op capacity!
With both modes supporting play over Xbox Live (of course) the thought of slaying a ****y overseas youth in the role of Joanna Dark has us spinning in our undercrackers.

In the future, additional map-packs for online play will also become available… but expect to part with some Microsoft Points for the privilege. Still, this is hardly a bad way to get the ball rolling now is it?
