Keyboard for the Box.. If this is old news to you then don't click
For all the people who cried about playing a FPS with a 2 joystick controller that makes playing FPS on Xbox simple and fun (gasp), it looks like your crys have been answered thanks to Interact. They are planning to release a keyboard labeled "The SharkBoard" for Xbox this July that will work with any Xbox game that supports the keyboard feature (which means none of the current ones will, but many of the big games coming out such as Unreal Championship should). Interact has also revealed that they will release a version of GameShark for Xbox. In any case, this should make a lot of people happy and provide more gaming options for gamers and developers alike. There's been no news on a mouse for Xbox as of yet, but with a keyboard already in the works there is a 98% chance a mouse of some sort is planned too. Here is the first pic of the "SharkBoard" and a features list.
How can we assume they ARE being written for keyboard support?
I don't see where you're getting the idea that future games WILL be written with Keyboard support. Why would Microsoft (who as of now has said they are AT THIS MOMENT steering away from a keyboard interface for the Xbox) incorporate something into their game that they're not even supporting.
This seems more like a wish than an actual event. No where has it been mentioned that UC will have keyboard support. This isn't a port of the PC version, which is a much different (doesn't even have the same name) version.
That being said, would I like a keyboard solution? Yes. But I'm not holding my breath for it.
