I generally don't believe every article about the next gen consoles coming out. I'm sure in the coming months of the new year we will see new articles about specs, and the actual consoles themselves.
From just a gamers standpoint I assume the new consoles will release at the end of 2013 or early 2014. This will allow more competition to the Wii U.
I hear the 720 will utilize GPU heat to double as a hotplate so you can game AND make grilled cheese sandwiches!
