You could buy four xbox games:) Or the playstation 2......i think that steel battalion is over hyped and over priced....Who knows if sb bombs.. Microsoft might bundle it in with the xbox with the next pricecut...
SB for sure... but then again I'm a straight mecha-maniac and my judgement might be bias, and I allready own a PS2, and I allready have SB on order. The $200 price tag isn't too bad once you consider other games will eventually work with that bad-@ss controller, and the sequel will be Live. This game promises to be one of the best mech games todate. But that's just me :D
Without a doubt I'd be snatching up a PS2 given this choice.
Honestly, I would wait for Steel Batallion 2...they are making it for XBox Live.
As for getting a PoS2...do what you like, but, personally, I would hold onto the money and/or pick up some of the new bad ass games coming out for the XBox. Like Unreal Championship, Splinter Cell, and Ghost Recon to name a few. :)
For $200 you can get a PS2 and zero games. Personally I would either buy a Gamecube and a few games or just buy 4 Xbox games. Keep in mind you also have to buy memory cards for the PS2 and Gamecube. So to get a PS2 you're looking at a bare minimum $250 and that's with one memory card and one $20 game.

Without a doubt, I'm getting Unreal Championship, Mech Assault, Splinter Cell, and Xbox Live the day they're out. But I'm ready to spend my entire paycheck on games now.
I'd get the Steel Battalion set before I'd buy a PS2. I saw the most wanted list on ign for ps2, and the future gaming selections for ps2 looks very bleak in comparison to Xbox. A grand theft auto game every year or two just wont do it for me. Also I'm trying to impress a girl, Gaia, with my Xbox, and I think Steel Battalion, if I bought it, would be the best game that could do it. As good as Halo is, it's the large hardware that'll amaze her.
sb, even if u wait for sb2 u still have to buy the HUGE controler. that what i would do.
im going to buy SB right away its going to be an amazing game and with a 36/40 from fumitsu it must be great.

Get steel batalion. if you want P2 you can get a usedone.. Alot of people have P2 and Xbox is getting a lot more and to me better games than P2. Yeah they have GTA series and FF series but to me thats about all they have that most people want. Me personaly I could care less about exclusive games for P2 including GTA and all that. I have heard vice is the best but I like gams that arnt all blury and the graphics Ihave seen on GTA was all burry. So again do what makes you happy but hell if I had the $$$ I would get steel batalion.

BTW: SB is a mech game that needs a special controller.
Has two joysticks, about 40 buttons all with their own function, and a set of pedals.

And the graphics are pretty amazing.
