Cool. I see no problem with this at all. Especially is xbox2 is backwards compatible. It would make sense to come up with another system so soon. I'm sure not many would be too upset. You could play all the games you have now, plus if you trade in your current xbox you'd have about enough money to purchase xbox2. Cool!
I think that as long as they make the new consoles backwards compatible then they could come out with a new system every 2 or 3 years.
MS needs to make a Jump, and having Xbox2 out in 2004, it will crush sony and there Half-assed "big Blue" stupid PS3 Idea/hype. I hope they release it November 15th 2004 thats 2 years away, and My Warranty runs out in july 2004 , :)
It should be awesome, considering for Sony's PS3 to work like they said it will, will cost thousands of dollars just to make it work in your home
I hope this sin't true. I would hate to see the Xbox get replaced only after it is 3 years old. Some people might get turned off by the fact that they have to replace hardware so soon. What happened to the released date of 2006?
I highly doubt this is true. A friend and I searched for a few hours trying to find any fact on P3 or Xbox 2 nothing yet all that is out are goals of what they would like for the system .And if they did have one avail for game makers I doubt any one would know right now due to the fact the P3 is in the works as well. I believe the systems are to be relesed in 2005. Now I could be wrong but why even press the issue, SIZE=3]are you not happy with what you have?[/SIZE] I mean yeah they probably do have an idea and maybe a few things put together and some games in developement but that wont effect us for some time yet so why worry. I want better games and games that uses the systems abilities not another sstem that software co. still wont use to the fullest. just my 2 cents

Honestly just sounds as though people are reading too much into the article that is based on. Until Microsoft themselves say the release date I'm not putting too much trust into this side talk.
I'd buy XBOX2 if it came out in 2002.
Please, don’t waste your time thinking about this, we haven’t seen hardly any second generation games that take full advantage of the Xbox power plant yet. But it’s good to know xbox is here to stay.:cool:
