How do you get the third person view on Halo to make screenshots and movies?

dont think you can unless you play vs mode...where you see the other player....which really isnt your 3rd person view but thats the only way i think they do it ...really wish there was a way to make it 3rd person view though...would be cool...like the way it was planned out to be when they first started making halo but later changed it to first person view

Most of those screenshots on the internet are made by a program Bungie has. It allows them to take screenshots and movies from any angle in the game. It allows the camera to roam around the level.
