"the black button is actually navy blue!"

so who didnt know that??
i think the reason they called it black...
was b/c its beside a white button....

Probably because "the navy blue button" would sound incredibly anal retentive for a user's manual.

Apparently, if you put the XBox controller directly into the sun, the controller looks like a very dark green and the black button looks navy blue. But, how often does anyone play outside in the sun?

I guess I will only have to deal with this rumor since the sun never shows up in Seattle

Well, my hunch is that Microsoft wanted to make "flashy" looking buttons. Know what I mean? I mean, if you look at the buttons, they don't look cheap...they are transparent (see through) and stuff. So, maybe there are other elements in the transparent buttons, since they are kinda fancy, that actually reflect a different color if a certain type of light is shined on it. Just a guess...

u guys got it all wrong...both buttons are niether white or black...they both are transparent and i guess theres some plastic thats deep inside the button that has the color such as the a,b,x, and y buttons...and its not navy blue if u


also u can tell that both are transparent by looking at the buttons from the side

I got my XBOX on release day and when I opened it i noticed that the controller was green and the button was Dark Navy BLue.
