Many hardware vendors have been waiting
for DirectX 8 to be released before
producing their next line of products.

Hey, if DirectX 8 gets released this month
    maybe we'll see Nvidia's NV20 by X-Mas.

That would be nice. I would like to see what nVidea has cooked up for us. Even if it's isn't as powerful as NV25 it will still be quite fast!

Is the NV20, the Geforce2 GTS Ultra? The 128Mb(DDR) one?
I'm guessing the NV25 will be the 3. drool, 256Mb

Wouldn't 256 Mb be a bit ... expensive on a graphics card suited for Xbox? Although I don't have the precise specs or anything - 256 Mb sounds like a lot in a console. So I doubt it (but I wouldn't mind it if I'm mistaken ).

I'm just happy it's nVidia they've teamed up with to do the video with...I've had a TnT2 in my machine for about 8 months...and it's the best hardware I've every purchased. But 256mb would be a lot of ram, and like you Samwise...I wouldn't be "disappointed" to see anything like that! But...I wouldn't expect it either.

    Geforce2 GTS Ultra = NV16.

The NV16 is another 'overclock old product
and market it under a new name' from
Nvidia, which they typically do once with
each product (like the G2 GTS), but are
doing twice since NV20 will probably not
be out in time to meet their six month
    release schedule.
