Ultimate Soundtrack

Hey People, I'm really into racing games but like pretty much all games the soundtracks are inevitably repetitive and plain crap. So, I'm currently working on a soundtrack to stick on the hard drive specificly for racing games. I want it to have heaps of 70's car chase type stuff with plenty of wah and horn breaks. So far I have a couple of tracks from Bullitt and some stuff from Gordons War amongst a whole lotta hard paced funk/jazz stuff any reccomendations as to what else I should put on it? Do any of you folks compile specific compilations for games? what sort of soundtracks do you use? (asside from you latest/ favourite cd)

Try "Theme from Wide Angle" by Hybrid...it's a pretty intense techno track. Would be great for either Amped or a racing game like Rallisport. In my opinion anyway...

Doesn't take super long, I rip full CDs at a time so I usually pop them in then go do something else for 20 minutes. Got about 20 full CDs worth on my box now. Love listening to Tenacious D stuff while driving, just because it's that dang funny.

i got a bunch of classical music on my xbox... i gotta burn another cdrw full of music tonight.

i really wish xbox dashboard had fast forward and reverse for songs :| and it would continue to play even if you left the music section. (like listen to music as you look through your save files)
