    Default Finally Got Optical Cable

Well, I finally decide to quite making excuses and buy the optical cable and let me tell you if you have a stereo with Dolby Digital and DTS it is highly worth it! You can actually tell without looking behind you which way the cars in PGR are coming up on you. It is great!

Question: Why on earth did it take you so long to buy one if you had the speaker setup already??? They are only $12.

Glad you made the right choice though. Changes the way games are played.

Where did you find one for $12?

The cheapest I was able to find was for $20

I will have to check Target when I go to Kansas City this weekend. I got an RCA, but it is an RCA High Performance from Wal-Mart.

    Thanks for the tip

Yeah same one. Their high performance brand. Thick dark grey cable I believe.

Mine are RCA brand (optical and component), the optical appears
to be almost white and very thick, the component cables have a
clear coating so you can see the braided cable. Very nice looking
and work very well. I used to always buy either Monster Cable
or I would purchase cables from a company called Better Cables
on the internet (great cables but a little pricey). I've been going
through and replacing all my cables with the RCA's and have
been very happy with the results.

Well, I guess that is typical of good ol small town inflation.

I will check out some stores in a big city this weekend and let you know if I find the same deal.

    Thanks again
